"This place has good reviews so I decided to give it a try for a family dinner, thinking it might be reasonable. Irish pub playing American country music that should have been a sign to turn around and find something else. Took a look at the menu and saw the typical Swiss high prices, again, should have walked out. Only thing I saw on the menu I would consider Irish pub fare was the fish n chips. My wife had that, and said it was just OK. Rest of us had chicken wings and fries. Mediocre would have been a compliment for them. I get it, it 's Switzerland, things are expensive, but I don 't mind when I get good quality. We had dinner the night before at another (local Swiss) restaurant and it was great. (Restaurant Ende der Welt) Should have went back. I also learned that you get charged for tap water at the Core. Supposedly this is normal? I was not charged at he other local place. I guess they appreciated me spending over $100 chf and didn 't mind pouring some water from the tap and washing a few glasses for my business. Tried to have the charge removed but manager was condescending and said 'it 's only 8 chf ' well right back at you it 's only 8 chf you should have removed it and had a happier customer willing to give a good review. Plenty of much better places in Engelberg."

Sehr freundliches Personal! Der Ingwer-Tee und das Tomaten/Mozzarella Sandwich mit einem Hauch von Pesto, war köstlich.

Consistently good drink, food, atmosphere and service. If you are in Engelberg, and you are a good pint and a good meal, this is your place.

The Pub was very nice. The staff was very polite and nice. I got the Burger wich was fantastic, it had a little to much onions. But overall one of my favorite restaurants.

Als Gast wie auch als Musiker habe ich hier die tollsten Erfahrungen gemacht!! Sehr nettes Personal, hervorragendes Essen, super Getränke, unkompliziert, gesellig, kurz gesagt sehr empfehlenswert!!!

We were only in town for 2 nights but this was our favorite place, they were the best bartenders ever! It was cozy and charming. Carina and Theresa were absolute angels, the best service we’ve gotten in 7 countries! We’d come back to Switzerland just to visit them.

Wir waren kürzlich zu Gast im Core. Das Guinness aus dem Fass ist super, die Bedienung jung, freundlich und flink.Wir haben die Rips vom Grill und Chicken Fingers bestellt. Die Rips waren fast ungeniessbar, von Knorpeln durchzogen und eher zäh. Die Chicken Fingers waren topp, nur die Cocktailsauce kam wie eine reine Mayonnaise Sauce rüber. Wir konnten unsere Eindrücke mit der Geschäftsführerin besprechen. Sie konzentriert sich zu 100% auf das Geschäft, lässt aber die sozialen Medien aussen vor. Schade, Vielleicht nimmt sie die Anregungen zum Essen trotzdem mit und die nächsten Gäste können davon profitieren.
