"A charming old pub in the middle of a quaint, gorgeous village in Yorkshire between York and Whitby, The Crown was empty when we arrived in the early afternoon. They had a selection of bitters and cask ales. I had a piny of Wainwright and my wife a half shandy. The staff were very friendly. There was a fire blazing and we accessed their wifi as there was no cellular reception in the area while we enjoyed our drinks. We did not eat, but the menu looked nice although the prices were a bit steep for such an isolated location. They also have three double rooms that are ridiculously expensive, running between £200 and £220 per night in mid-February. The village is quiet and absolutely beautiful with old rock buildings and cottages as well as a creek running from the old church at the top of the hill through the small valley that surrounds Hutton-le-Hole.
