I didn’t think I liked haggis, until I went here. I had the highlander burger, my friend the poached salmon salad both very good, fast service.

Great fun, good music, cozy place, food somewhat average! Evening fully and greatly enjoyed with friends and music! Not to drive for, but good for a drop-in:

This was part of a tour we were on. Was great to see the history of the place. My meal was delicious. Mince and tatties. Husbands was fair. He had the vegetarian bangers and mash. It was like potatoes on potatoes. Beer was warm so if you want cold ask for it.

I recently stayed at this restaurant for two amazing nights. The place has a lot of charm, and I hope they never change it. The staff were all fantastic, especially Scott and Allan who were incredibly helpful and polite. We had dinner both nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast was also delicious with a good variety of options. Our room was very clean and cozy. We have already booked to return in July for three nights. I highly recommend this charming hidden gem.

Our family had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The quality of the food has declined and we found it to be bland and unappealing. The salad served was a sorry-looking handful of lettuce. The service was lacking as well, as we had to order at the bar and were surprised to see a £13 service charge added without notice. We had to ask for a bill, which was not readily available, and when we requested the service fee be removed, we were made to feel like it was an inconvenience. The lack of cutlery on the tables also added to our discomfort.

Been going to the Drovers since the 70s. Today stopped for lunch. When I ordered at the bar the amount asked for seemed more than it should. When I asked the bar man what the prices were I was told he added a 10% service charge. I asked why I wasn’t told or that the menus didn’t mention it. He replied he “ Couldn’t be arsed “ and would take it off the bill. I was given an unitemized receipt for the total. The fish and chips was good. When I got home I happened to check my bank for something unrelated and noticed I had been charged twice. Once for the correct bill and once with the service charge. It would be nice to think it was a genuine mistake but I don’t think so. So sad . Ps called them...

Let me start with the positives. The food here was delicious. That's where it ends. The building is very old, but could be so much nicer if they just went round with a hoover and duster. The bar staff are all incredibly rude. They clearly don't want to be there. A tip is added to all transactions by default as the business doesn't pay their staff enough. Already expensive drinks and food are even more expensive because of this. I'd love to know what the taxman has to say about this too so have reported it. I'm fairly certain the staff are racist. They seem to make a point to serve those with a Scottish accent before anyone with any other accent. Pricing is extortionate. £120 for a dark and d...

We had booked an over night stay for two couples and had phoned the day before to book dinner and were told that we could not book, so we arrived on Saturday 10/09/23 to see all the table with booked signs on them. We asked again and managed to get a table for 6.30, when this came the table had been given away. We eventually managed to get something to eat and the food was reasonable albeit on very uncomfortable seats. The singer in the main bar sounded great but we could not get in due t all the pre booked tables and the queue a the bar which had only one person serving and was continually busy.
