"To note, this is the first review I’ve written in probably 10 years. I’m not in the slightest a complainer and I just want to say we have used this restaurant for a takeaway on a weekly basis for many years as local residents. What we experienced however dining in the restaurant tonight was absolutely diabolical service and has put us off ever returning. In short, it took over an hour and a half to serve our meals, we had to ask twice for our order to be taken after waiting 25 minutes from our drinks order being taken, the prices were obscene (having used the restaurant for a takeaway on many occasions and ordered more food than we had in house tonight in a takeaway usually comes to £29 for two people) £62.50 we were charged for two when we had a main meal and a naan bread to share effectively portions were also more measly in house than takeaway. Despite all of this the peak of the disaster came at the end of the evening when we simply queried the bill (mainly the £16+ charged for two lime and lemonades and a popadom at the beginning) and the restaurant manager got distinctly aggressive towards my mum and handled himself abysmally. Needless to say they have lost out on about £100 per month worth of local repeat business now and we won’t be returning. Atrocious service."

A party of 5 of us dined here last night. We all had something different and were all really pleased with the food. The service was friendly and efficient too. Prices are reasonable and will return!

My wife and I ate here last night and was blown away with the service and the food. The chef even came to see us to query something that we ordered as my wife ordered the garlic chicken but wanted extra garlic and not too spicy . My wife said it was the nicest curry she ever had. We would definitely recommend.

I recently dined at this restaurant while visiting for the day from Sheffield. I highly recommend this place - it has a friendly atmosphere and attentive staff. The food was fantastic, especially the Tarka daal which was the best I've ever had. I also suggest trying a liquor coffee at the end of your meal. I had Baileys in mine and it was delicious.

I will not be returning to this restaurant after my first visit. The staff appeared disinterested and unkempt, and the food took an excessively long time to arrive. We waited over 2 hours for our main course, which was definitely not worth the wait. It seemed like they were more focused on fulfilling takeaway orders. Overall, I will not be dining here again.

We have been before and was pleased, however on the 24th June, we ordered our meal and it took 2.5 hours to get to our mains, it was 22:45 then way to late for us as we had taxi booked. The staff made up a take away for us, We got back and put the meal out which was very watery and lacked flavour, we had to leave it. In truth it was disgusting. The service was rubbish and attitude poor. We wouldn’t go back I I can’t recommend this place to anyone.

After booking a restaurant that falsely claimed to be licensed, we left and stumbled upon this excellent restaurant where we were seated immediately. Despite it being busy in the early evening, the staff were incredibly helpful. We accidentally ordered red wine, but the waiter graciously opened it for us. When we offered to pay for the bottle, they instead swapped it for a bottle of white free of charge. The food was exceptional and reasonably priced. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Gandhi are surviving because the internet is so bad in Skegness and people can’t read the dreadful reviews on Google and Tripadvisor. If you read the reviews beforehand you would be wise to not go. Customer service was really awful. Staff need some proper training in hospitality, service and politeness otherwise this business will fail. Chicken tikka masala with five pieces of chicken was confirmed by management to be the correct number of pieces of chicken as “It is a sauce dish”. Not in any other Indian restaurant it isn’t. An experience we don’t want to repeat!

Absolutely diabolical. 3rd chance in 2 years after boycotting for a year! Shame really as gone there since been a kid and 25 years later I’m so saddened! It always used to be impeccable and an establishment you’d recommend to anyone who’d listen!!! Rude, ignorant, miserable, scruffy looking staff (no longer the smart black trousers, white shirt n dickebow, shoes….. just plain, lounging about house clothes! The owner has not only let it slip but the way he parades around the restaurant, slams the food down on tables, shouts and insults his own staff and on one occasion pushed a waiter and gripped pinched his arm!!!! I’ve seen ‘USED’ pickle trays taken from table to table when they are full an...

"I've been in Horncastle on business twice once on a Monday, once on a Tuesday and both times found the town mostly closed for business in the evenings. This time, just as I was on the point of deciding people in Lincolnshire must have a tradition of fasting on a Tuesday evening, I came across The Bull. This attractive old coaching hotel looked inviting, and the staff offered me a friendly welcome. The warmly lit, high ceilinged interior of this Georgian inn was full of diners (Yes on a Tuesday! Take note, other restauranteurs of Horncastle) and the ambiance was convivial. The selection of beers behind the bar was good and the two pints I drank were tasty and well kept. I was presented with two bar menus, a separate burger menu and shown a fish menu and a steak menu on the wall. (I understand tapas is also available at weekends). Quite a choice! The bar menus largely consisted of what you might call traditional pub grub of the best kind. Within that massive choice, there must have been at least half a dozen dishes I was really tempted by but, eventually, I plumped for the cauliflower soup followed by the pork belly, mash, peas and apple gravy. Both courses were outstanding and extremely generous in size, especially the pork belly. My only disappointment was that I hadn't room in my distended belly to squeeze in a spotted dick for pudding! My bill, for such a large and excellent meal, was very modest. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at The Bull and would definitely eat and/or drink there again."
