The Gun Room At Plas Dinas

setting perfect, staff perfect, sitting lounge perfect, food perfect, but after booking weeks in advance we were seated in another room and not in the advertised famous gunroom, will definetly book again but id ask to make sure in the restaurant. shame!

what an excellent and relaxing afternoon. attentive staff and excellent eating. a beautiful balance of hearty and sweet in the selection offered on afternoon tee. the tee in the dining room, very nicely furnished and allowed all afternoon to enjoy the tee...and company diolch.

had a credit for the Gunroom experience as a birthday present, unfortunately it was not a good experience. the food was nice, but we did not sit in the gunroom, the tables next to us were unclear and had dirty/used teller etc. when we were shown. on our table, the toilet floor was opaque and used wet toilet paper on the floor. Very disappointing, but were greeted by a beautiful polite welsh speaking girl.

We stayed at Plas Dinas and dined here during the two nights in October We loved the seasonal autumnal dishes. If we could afford to stay more often or lived closer we would visit once a month to try the new dishes. It is...the overall experience that is just perfect. Canapes in the drawing room and the smoking butter was just wonderful. We will be back as soon as we can, I don't know how long I can stay away from the steak. We are even thinking of coming back as our Christmas present to each other.

What an amazing experience from start to finish! The immaculately dressed staff were so attentive from our initial meet. Not overpowering, but when I felt the need for more service, they just appeared? We felt very special from arrival, our every need and unique request...was taken care of effortlessly. The food was exquisite, the November menu that we had, left me and my Family lost for words, delicious and very filling! We vowed never to eat again.. until we sat for breakfast! A huge thank you to Daniel and Annie for the show around and backstory to your gorgeous home. Not to mention feeling blessed to get to meet the star of the show Oliver! See you in January x

We hired plas dinas country house for my birthday party, for the weekend. Completely amazing experience. The house is immaculate and fascinating, the staff so attentive. Annie and her team went above and beyond to create and unforgettable, bespoke event. We have created some...amazing memories and would recommend in a heart beat this beautiful house and amazing team. The food was amazing! The children were able to make their own pizzas and ice cream sundaes whilst the adults enjoyed multiple scrumptious) canapés. My friend who was gluten free was provided with an exact replica of each canapés without gluten. The attention to detail was phenomenal! Thank you for a fantastic time.

Although we live locally, this was our first visit to the gun room in plas dinas, but it will certainly not be the last. we were warmly welcomed and sat in a beautiful room to view the menu and order. the room was beautiful, with an amazing flower display and a warm fire. after the order we were in five minutes to our table in another beautifully decorated room, with a warm atmosphere and impeccable equipment. when each cure was served, we were blown away from the skill of the cook and his ability to mix unexpected aromen so brilliantly. we couldn't choose a favourite course, as we enjoyed everyone so! also the palette refreshments were delicious and beautifully presented. the personal was a...

Booked afternoon tea here for a family of seven, based on reviews which raved about the warm welcome, possible tour of the house etc. I was looking forward to learning a little of the history as well as having a tasty afternoon tea. The welcome...was far from warm. We arrived just as a harried young man dashed past us without acknowledgement on the phone. We then waited at least minutes, somewhat awkwardly in the empty hallway until he finished his phone call. He then said ‘Afternoon tea?’ to which we nodded and he escorted us straight to the dining room without another word. So much for the warm welcome.
