A most welcoming village pub, who went all out on the busiest Sunday of their year o make us welcome. It was the day that the London Brighton Veteran car run passed through Staplefield and despite being extremely busy the staff made us welcome and served a good roast lunch.

Always enjoy Sunday lunch at The Jolly Tanners. The Landlord and staff are very welcoming and friendly and they make a great fuss of dogs. The food was absolutely delicious. Roast beef cooked to perfection and the trifle took us back to our childhood. Efficient, friendly service in what remains a âproperâ pub. Canât fault it.
