"We popped in for a late lunch on Friday 29th September after a long walk along the River Wye. Jess was great from start to finish happy, smiley and couldn't do enough to help! She gave our dog a lot of attention and even brought him over a bowl of water, which was a really nice touch. The food was delicious, the pub was cosy and nicely decorated, and the service was great. Reasonably priced, too. We'd definitely go again. Nearby activities: Located in the town centre, close to the River Wye walk ideal! Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value"

Went for food on Sunday the 17th September 1630 for a Sunday roast. The starter was amazing,but the roast dinner was awful. The roast potatoes jade been under the heat lamps for ages and we're like lumps of coal and the Yorkshire pudding was not crispy and fresh. I think if you went earlier in the day it would be good but don't got late Rooms: 1 Service: 4 Location: 1

Once I got off the bus at M&S with no taxis available, I hobbled to the nearest pub, The George, just 50 yards away, hoping a pint of HPA would help ease my knee. Unfortunately, that didn’t do the trick. However, the kind staff at The George (and their sister bar, The Lion, across the street) came to my rescue by giving me a lift to my car (don’t worry, it’s an automatic). They were truly wonderful, and I can’t thank them enough! Lifesavers. Service: 5 stars.
