"I live close to a chip shop which I feel has gone down hill, so I thought I'd try the Lemon Plaice as it's always had a good reputation. The fish and chips were absolutely delicious, not too greasy, lovely crispy fish, definitely the best I've had in Tilehurst. Chips portion size weren't the biggest, but they were enough. The man and lady were lovely to talk to, which makes a change from many places where the staff don't speak. I'd definitely return."

Just had some of the best fish and chips I've ever had.Chunky cod with crisp batter and lovely chips. Mushy peas nice. Staff were very pleasant. Fantastic

food was nice but service was awful clearly prioritising telephone orders over people that had bothered to go in person. 4 members of staff clearly working hard but should have at least acknowledged the 5 people waiting in the queue
