Great place fantastic atmosphere and good food I play bingo there every Tuesday afternoon,look forward to going back in new year .

Came with my family, large party of 19. Fantastic food and service. We come regularly for family meals and I would really recommend now there is new management. Great environment for the kids too.

13 of us had a 3 course Christmas meal here tonight and was incredibly efficient! Brought all out food out together, no long waits, was pleasant and all food was amazing!! Thank you very much for an amazing evening!! Visualizza piatti

First time we had a Christmas dinner out, and we must say the food and staff were brilliant. Highly recommended and will certainly be back. The roast potatoes were to die for. Thank you Natalie and Grace for your amazing hospitality.

We had an early family Christmas dinner together here this evening for 13 people, we knew it was under new management, the food was fantastic, all piping hot and the service was super efficient, we all had a lovely time and would definitely recommend, thank you x

In my opinion the latest change of management at the longwood is the final nail in the coffin. We as a family have been going to the longwood for about 20years and seen many changes but it is now time to find a new pub. The last manager was very friendly, made everyone feel welcome and the pub seemed to be getting busy again. He has been replaced with a manager with all the personality and warmth of a wet dish cloth and the pub has the atmosphere of a morgue!! RIP The Longwood Visualizza piatti

Heard yet again the longwood is under new management thought we would pop in again and take another look as the last two experiences have been dreadful. Having read the trip advisors it seems the answer to all the negative reviews are to call them and “ give them another try” Didn’t call them we just popped in to staff standing around chatting and not very happy about the new management takeover. Think this will be our last visit can’t see any change apart from Pizzas being back on the menu again. Let’s hope the chef can manage to make one of these without an hour wait for food.

Attended the Christmas bingo today. We went last year and waited 2 and a half hours for mains.. so we were a little sceptical. However this year was planned far better! Henry and Dylan are always brilliant and friendly, and they did the games of bingo whilst we waited for starters, and then carried on with the other games whilst waiting for mains. The food was very tasty! The chef, Courtney, came out afterwards to see how everything was, which I thought was a nice touch. She is always friendly. The staff always work so hard and it would be great if they were rewarded for their hard work.

Went for Festive Lunch. I booked for a group of friends including a vegan friend. ALL our food was very tasty, good quality and nice and hot. Staff were very pleasant. Only two things were letting them down. The pub was cold, the heating was not on at all and it was only a few degrees above freezing that afternoon. This meant a few of us ate our lunch in our coats. The second was the length of time it took to bring out all 3 courses which were all pre-chosen in advance. This meant we waited ages for our mains even though the manager asked if we were ready when clearing the starters we still waited over half an hour. The same happened with desserts.
