Think service may have been slow because there was a big party in adjacent room (very noisy . However, if they cannot cope with extra diners such as us, they should not take a booking for them, as it spoilt our experience. Decor is a bit run down and the menu cards have seen better days. Food was reasonably good, though we couldn't finish our mains as the starter was so enormous (maybe they gave us a large starter to make up for the long delay? Shame really because the place has the potential to be good."

We had a fantastic dining experience at The Lord Kitchener. The staff were attentive, enthusiastic and very welcoming. The food was delicious and we will definitely be calling in again!

Excellent service and food. We arrived in the midst of a very rowdy hen night meal, and the service we received was second to none. The menu was wide, and the choices we made were both very, very well cooked and extremely tasty. We will be going back very soon, as the daily specials looked extremely interesting!!

Lovely atmosphere no hurry the food was great. Mixed platters to start and share it thought just the right amount though some of our other party thought a few more nachos would be better. Pies amazing the only let down was the treacle sponge not good on the night. Was not charge for it so no complaints will definitely go back

The food was really excellent. We shared a tex mex platter as a starter and this was really good. The large fish pie I had to follow was outstanding, one of the nicest fish pies I've ever had, packed full of fish and so tasty! I couldn't eat it all but was so good I had to take it with me! Which was no trouble to the attentive and professional waiter. Our other main was the pork duo, also amazing. Dessert was the Curbridge mess, again realllllly good!!! Generous portion sizes and great value. Will absolutely be going again!
