"Been several times now and enjoyed a warm welcome and good food. If I had to be critical the puds were not to my liking but I accept that’s purely a personal choice and not a criticism of the quality. The very discerning in-laws also...rate this pub and they get around most pubs and restaurants in the area (from bog standard grub pubs to gastro pubs and restaurants). Love the owner’s wandering dog too loves to say hello but please don’t feed it as they are trying to keep its weight down . If passing do try it out, although we’ve discovered it early booking is advised. Really pleased that this place is doing well well done to those in charge."

"Due to the good reviews, we stayed and ate here. The rooms are spacious, cozy and clean. The pub area is very inviting and dogs allowed. The staff friendly. However, if you eat in the pub area, you have to pay more attention to drink requests. I had fried calamari with arugula and a very tasty chili dressing. The main course was the fillet, which was cooked solidly. Unfortunately, the breakfast wasn't good and could only be improved with scrambled eggs. There was bread and jam. Coffee from the French press. I returned some slices of bread with mold on them. When I wanted to take a croissant I was asked if I wanted to wait for a fresh one. When the toilets were cleaned during our breakfast with the door open and a corresponding smell, we asked them to be closed. Conclusion: You have a nice little gem there and you're a great team, but the breakfast can definitely be improved."

"This is a super place to go for a special ice cream or milkshake or treat! They also have lots of American sweets and treats so expats can indulge themselves and buy goods they might not have tried for years. An excellent and novel place to visit. This is an essential place to visit, especially in this warm weather!"

"Previous tee tonight for us on the street at the kitchener. Last week I had the squid starter and the hutcake special. tonight it was a frecher garlic ciabatta the house made to escape pate and lammschaft. omg eat fantastic, prizes a quid or two under the city center and a special mention for the hero of the kitchener dragos. this man is by far the best barmann in witney and an excellent host. we have been here several times, but only 3. it is a little quieter, but eating is better and the menu is a bit more manageable. dragos remembers us every time we go, more so he also remembers our drinks and is a fantastic advantage for this pub. the previous bad review is appalling. obviously drunk. when they go all night champagne swilling to oxford. I like my village pub and will be back again and again."

"Came for lunch with new work colleagues. Waited around 45 minutes to be served, first 3 people served, then a few minute wait for the next two, then around a 5 minute wait for me (didn’t appear overly busy! . My salt beef brioche was appalling a basic brioche burger bun containing 2 tiny slices of salt beef and one large piece of fat (you can’t put that on a bun by accident …..oh yeah, and a lovely star anise too! All of this accompanied by some barely luke warm oven like steak cut chips! I know I should’ve complained but I was with work colleagues during my first week and didn’t want to be ‘that guy’ but I certainly wouldn’t come again and wouldn’t recommend!"
