"The restaurant was fantastic overall, but the portion size of the tomahawk pork steak was smaller than expected. Parking can be a bit challenging, but there are spaces available. The cost per person is typically between £40-50. The food, service, and atmosphere all scored a perfect 5. Recommended dishes include Salt 'N ' Pepper Calamari Aioli, Roast Pork, and Chargrilled Pork Tomahawk Steak with Garlic Roasties and Salsa Verde Rocket Salad. Finding a parking space can be a bit tricky, but there is a free parking lot available."

"The food was really excellent. We shared a tex mex platter as a starter and this was really good. The large fish pie I had to follow was outstanding, one of the nicest fish pies I've ever had, packed full of fish and so tasty! I couldn't eat it all but was so good I had to take it with me! Which was no trouble to the attentive and professional waiter. Our other main was the pork duo, also amazing. Dessert was the Curbridge mess, again realllllly good!!! Generous portion sizes and great value. Will absolutely be going again!"

"A lovely place to enjoy a meal with friends, the food was excellent, surrounds amazing, enhanced by great decor of tasteful Christmas touches. This place had the feel of a fantastic country pub, the service was fine as well. So what took the polish off my visit, as everything I’ve said so far has been positive? There are a couple of things that’s left a bad taste in my mouth; the first is the price, obviously you expect to pay for quality, however, I feel that this particular ‘bird’ was taking a bit more seed than it needed. I was charged £4 for a pint of blackcurrant and soda, with ice admittedly, however I felt it was extortionate, I might as well of had an alcoholic drink for those sort of prices. The other thing I know caused the leader of our group some anxiety, and inconvenience to the rest of us, which was that the ‘card reader’ wasn’t working. The ways to pay were cash or bank transfer. Please, if this happens let the people who have booked know, so that they can ensure they have cash, and can let the rest of us know. Nowadays who carries cash? Not many of us, as it caused us all to limit our drinks orders. Bad for us, and bad for business. So let people know in advance, or the very least post it on your website. Good management would be, to have a back up method of card payment of your current provider if it’s so flakey. Don’t let such a fundamental basic thing, let your establishment down."

"Came for lunch with new work colleagues. Waited around 45 minutes to be served, first 3 people served, then a few minute wait for the next two, then around a 5 minute wait for me (didn’t appear overly busy! . My salt beef brioche was appalling a basic brioche burger bun containing 2 tiny slices of salt beef and one large piece of fat (you can’t put that on a bun by accident …..oh yeah, and a lovely star anise too! All of this accompanied by some barely luke warm oven like steak cut chips! I know I should’ve complained but I was with work colleagues during my first week and didn’t want to be ‘that guy’ but I certainly wouldn’t come again and wouldn’t recommend!"
