"My experience at The Angel last night was very disappointing. We made a reservation for 6 people specifically for the pork belly, which was tasty but not hot enough. The butternut squash was served cold, and the Boulanger potatoes were lukewarm. One member of our group found her ravioli to be bland and not hot as well. As someone with 50 years of professional cooking experience, including as a culinary arts teacher and judge of cooking competitions, I have high expectations for kitchen standards. The service was rated a 2 out of 5, while the location was given a 4 out of 5."

A really lovely pub with a beautiful garden, lovely staff and the roast dinner was genuinely one of the best I've ever had. Would definitely return upon visiting Burford.

Had some lunch here this week. Fish chip's mushy peas with tartar sauce. Great service well cooked food I'm not a lover of mushy peas but these were superb and the best I've ever had along with a fantastic tartar sauce. Service: 5 Visualizza piatti

It was a wonderful place and the food was amazing, we had ribeye steak and it was perfectly done to our request. We also had malbec and that was a great accompaniment too. The service was perfect, the town amazing and the actual venue full of charm and character.

We had dinner at The Angel last night. Only two of us. The food was delicious, with generous portions and the service was excellent. They returned to the table often, to see if we needed anything. Extremely pleasant staff. We would definitely visit again. All round, a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Thank You
