"Lunch time during the week, so not too suprised it was empty. Last visit was how it was a few years back lovely food, unusual sweet.Lots of trouble gone into it. Fast became my favourite place. However our next visit I had trouble to choose something from the main menu, Sausage and Mash, Fish and Chips, Burger, or Chicken supreme. I chose the Chicken Supreme. It came up as one Chicken Breast with some fried onion and roast potatoes. Not in a creamy sauce as I was expecting. Not a great fan of one large peice of chicken. I did have chicken wings for starter which were tasty. The sweet was just a panacotta. Nothing like in the past being cucumber mouse honeycomb and strawberry, which I must say I had had 3 times in the past, it was so good. So I feel that what was on offer this time is nothing like a few months back. Such a shame"

Ordered the chicken wings, started to eat them before I noticed they were raw in the middle, looks like I may be in for a bad night

Giovanni is back and the old staff, the restaurant is now back to how the old customers would remember. My favourite place to eat is once again!

Upon arrival at the hotel, my husband and I enjoyed a drink at the bar while reviewing the menu. We appreciated the unhurried service throughout the evening. Our starters of pate and ravioli were excellent, as were our main courses of fillet steak and hake. We opted to share the panna cotta for dessert, which was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be coming back for another wonderful dining experience.

Been here on and off over the years but never really impressed with it. Bought a groupon voucher in the hope that it had improved. Had quite a long wait for main courses. I had the fish and chips, batter not at all crispy and little white fish. My partner had chicken supreme which he enjoyed. Dessert was ok but would have been better with more custard. It’s such a shame as nice restaurant in a nice building, could be loads better Visualizza piatti

The Manor Hotel and Restaurant Rainham Essex. Venue for our wedding ceremony and reception in 2015, is once again back to its superb best after take over by the new management team. Thank you to Giovanni, Sarah, Kirsty, the head chef and all of the staff for a wonderful evening (Luther Vandross tribute) meal and stay at the hotel. Atmosphere, service and quality of food are all wonderful. Looking forward to our next visit which we hope will be very soon.

Our room was small for the price, and without air conditioning it was uncomfortably hot during the summer. The bar staff were a bit rude, clearing our drinks before the end of the night, even some that were untouched. The high prices for drinks made this even more frustrating. I had trouble sleeping due to noise outside and uncomfortable pillows. Breakfast orders were mixed up, with our food arriving late and missing bacon. The presentation of the food was sloppy and the taste was lackluster. Witnessing the manager trying to force another guest to pay for drinks they didn't order was awkward. I would not stay here again, despite the nice buffet food on weekends and attractive decor in most a...

"this is a great place Thai restaurant that we unfortunately do not visit as much as we want. it has been an established part of my hometown hornchurch and serves fantastic Thai cuisine for many years. I am now glad to say that on Saturday we had a opportunity to visit and again eating was full of all the aromes they expect from this style of food. on Saturday we have walked on our fifteen minute walk to the heart of the city where they find the restaurant. we entered and received the usual friendly reception before we took our places. While we looked at the menu, we ordered a beautiful bottle of maison bergon 2020 a delightful French sauvignon blanc, full of citrus fruits, apple and lemongras aromas. unusual for us we decided to choose a set menu. we chose the Bangkok menu with an additional Thai salad. this started with the prawn crackers and sweet chili diving sauce. the starter was a plate consisting of chickensatai, spring rolls, huh on toast, chicken strips prawn tempura, which was all fresh, hot and full of fabulous thai aromen. we followed this with our additional plate of the yum nuar a fabulous spicy salate of cut grilled sirloin, swirl, early swirl, coriander, lemon juice, fish sauce chili flock, which I would definitely recommend. we now went to the main courses that would be with ingwer in black bohnensoße, chicken green curry, sweet with egg noodles. thai jasmin reis. the aromen and choir again complicated themselves perfectly and made every dish absolutely delicious. to finish they can have either tee, coffee or a few pots vanilla ice cream. this brought our charming Thai lunch to the end, and we hope to do again in the near future. I would highly recommend a visit here as eating is fantastic and there is always a good friendly service. also it is a long established part of our community and should be supported. many thanks for our fabulous lunch and look forward to seeing them all again soon."

"Very disappointed with food quality and service. We had booked a table for 13 people, 3 of which which were children. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely waitress who took us to our seats, but then proceeded to ask us to pass the plates and cutlery down the table to where the other guests were yet to arrive. So we set half of the tables, which is bizarre to ask a customer, but she was a lovely girl so it wasn 't a big deal at the time...until things went really downhill. We ordered 3 x £40 mixed grill platters which are meant to serve 3 4 people and asked for rice only, no bulgar. All 3 platters were brought with half rice and half bulgar; we asked the waitress to correct this, and she was apologetic and came back with a bowl of half rice and half bulgar again, we asked for rice on, so she went back and got a bowl of rice. Bearing in mind each platter is meant to serve 3 4 people, I struggled to serve the children an adequate portion they had 2 tablespoons of rice each; that 's how much rice was served with the large grill. My 10 year old niece then pulled out a long strand of hair from the kofteh she was about to eat; absolutely disgusting! Unsurprisingly, the cook wasn 't wearing a hair net, which I presume is standard?? I tried to be tactile and not draw too much attention to the situation to other eating customers, so quietly pulled the waitress aside and gave her the hair; she apologised and had another kofteh cooked (actually felt sorry for the girl, she looked mortified). The crunch came when we went to eat the chicken wings and baby chicken so many were raw pink and red raw meat! We told the waitress and she was insistent that it was cooked, but took it back believe me we have cooked chicken before and know what raw meat is. We were shocked when the same chicken was re cooked and then served back to us bear in mind, by this point the chicken had already cooled down from the first time it was cooked, centre was raw, and then re cooked and served again! There was no way we would 've touched it; also keep in mind that some of the chicken had come off different guests ' plates and were bitten into how were we supposed to know which piece was who 's?? So bizarre, I 've never had this happen, even in the cheapest small café. By this time to be honest we were off our food. The meat wasn 't great really; some was ok; the chicken shish was ok, the lamb chops were also ok; the chicken kofteh had no flavour; the kofteh was very greasy; the rice was wet. On a high note, the lahumajun was lovely and so were the dips and bread. When it came to the bill, we made it clear the chicken should be taken off, as none was eaten by anyone. When the waitress came and handed the bill over and was asked if the chicken was removed from the bill, her response was I 'm just a worker who else are we supposed to ask then? Why the attitude?! We had the right to complain after being served raw meat! The cook/owner then came over, leaned over me, with a plate of chicken hovering above my head and my face in his armpit, and started to argue with another guest that we didn 't ask for the chicken to be well done; no spacial awareness or respect for one 's space whatsoever. I didn 't realise we had to request for our chicken not to be raw; absolutely ridiculous. He knocked off £15 and for a £170 bill and the awful experience, I think that was insulting. He then knocked off a bit more, and we just accepted as wanted to get out of there. The same waitress came back and cleared the table, slamming the plates onto the trays no manners whatsoever and clearly showing she 's pissed off. Such a shame; all other guests witnessed this while they were trying to eat; could 've been totally avoidable. Why risk your reputation? I 've never had to ever make a complaint like this before, let alone write such a review. If you choose to eat here, check your meat is thoroughly cooked, or you 'll be poisoned!"
