Great food and good service and reasonably priced. Will return when we're in the area again.

Excellent icecream1930's deco - I last visited here 13 years ago and it hasn't changed at all.

A pleasant dining room, attentive staff. But expensive. Two of us had the roast, one beef, one lamb. Nice vegetables, but completely spoiled by the meat. I would have thought for £20 (less for a small plate) the meat would have been carved from a joint, not a rubbery prepacked slice.

We were a party of 6 plus a toddler for Sunday lunch. Three of us ordered lamb which was very difficult to cut and chew. The beef was a little better but not by much. The roast potatoes were like rocks. Until they have a chef who can cook meat and roast potatoes then they shouldn’t serve roast dinners.

I had the sea bass, which was absolutely delicious! I can honestly say that it was the best meal out for a very long time! Everything tasted fresh and cooked perfectly. I will certainly return. Ambience only got 4 stars as the door was open so that children belonging to the large group next to us could get in and out for the play area, which made it a bit chilly.
