This is an excellent pub located in a charming small market town. It's in a fantastic location for exploring North Norfolk. The food is outstanding, the staff is lovely, and the ambiance of the room is beautiful. I had the best dessert I've ever tasted here. I highly recommend it!

we were for a night on 29/04/18 this is not our first time and find this place a wonderful place to stay. from the moment we arrived when we were gone, we felt like a family. the employees were so friendly and fantastic in their job. eating in the restaurant was of such a high class and we will return. thanks to all in the nelson so pleasant for a birthday contract.

I only spent one night here after winning a competition on Facebook. The room was nice, and we had a meal at the restaurant that we really enjoyed. Breakfast was also very good, with a selection of fresh fruit and a variety of breakfast options. The staff was very friendly, polite, and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying in Nelson. We stayed here last week with our grandaughter and absolutely loved it !!!!! Room was beautiful and spotless, and the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble !!!! Breakfast was excellent and the location was great. I cant rate this place enough and will be recommending to everyone. The hotel is taking money from customers, as evidenced by reviews on TripAdvisor. I was charged £75 despite the fact that it has been closed since at least July. They still processed my payment even though they were not open and have not refunded me. Many others have also been affected. Booking.com is aware that this hotel is closed, as there have been complaints from other guests, yet they continue to advertise it as open. I have reported the situation to Norfolk Trading Standards and will be contacting the police tomorrow. Taking payments for a service that cannot be provided is potentially deceptive, possibly fraudulent, and could be considered theft in some cases. This is unacceptable. B...

We had made a reservation at their restaurant for dinner, and the staff that evening were fantastic. The lady and gentleman were exceptionally friendly, polite, and attentive. Despite being busy, they provided personal service, ensuring everything was perfect and that we had everything we needed. The food and drinks were reasonably priced, and the portions were enormous—my starter could have served as a main dish! After our meal, we enjoyed some drinks in the cozy lounge area.
