After having a negative experience at 'Picks' while visiting family, I was recommended to try this pub. I found the atmosphere to be good and the people to be friendly!

The Sunday Lunch was Excellent. The management were very friendly. The beef was cooked to perfection as were all the vegetables and roasties. Very good value. Highly recommended

We went on recommendation by a friend for the midweek carvery and were pleasantly surprised. Under new management and Scott made us feel very welcome. The carvery was excellent with lots of veg selection (all cooked to perfection)

On arrival they only had gammon left which they plated up in the kitchen. Looks like they split the left over scraps of gammon between 3 of us. I'm not a fussy eater and the rest of the carvery didn't taste as bad as it looked but sorry won't be visiting again. I think you should stick to being a pub. Even at the great price of £4.99... I'd rather cook myself.

Sorry but in our opinion this place needs closing down and refurbishing and the people running the outfit need training in hygiene i.e 1 toilet in the ladies no hand dryer working, no paper tissues to dry hands. The food was not cold, but was tepid, good selection of veggies, the meat was almost non existent(our cat gets more meat) all in all you get what you pay for.The Guy serving was very pleasant an very apologetic that my yorkshire pudding was cold. I went to this restaurant for dinner last weekend and had the worst experience at a pub. My husband and two children had carvery meals that were terrible. The food was inedible and looked like it had been expired for months. We were not offered an apology or a refund. When we entered the pub, we were greeted with dirty nappies everywhere and the owner was swearing and taking shots. My children were uncomfortable and wanted to leave. When we went outside for a cigarette, we saw rats near the bins. This place should be shut down. I would recommend avoiding it at all costs. My husband and I got severe vomiting and diarrhea from eating here.

The food was unedible , my son was sick in his dinner as the gristle in the meat had got stuck in his throat, sorry meat ,? Initially, the restaurant is currently undergoing renovations. It may have been wise for them to close during this time, but it appears they cannot afford to do so in the current economic climate. Despite the visible work being done during the day, we decided to try their Sunday carvery, priced at a very reasonable £6.99. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal. The meat was well prepared and plentiful, and the variety of vegetables was impressive. The roast potatoes and parsnips were particularly delicious.
