The Old Town Quarry

I've been here twice now. Lovely atmosphere, great to find somewhere a little bit quirky in WSM. Service is great, very friendly, and tea and cake is fabulous! As a local, I'll be back again and again!

Wonderful hidden gem. Peaceful away from the town centre. Lovely home made cakes and meals. Made to feel welcome and service helpful. Surroundings tranquil and restful. Great place to get away from it all.

Not easy to find but worth the effort .Old Weston quarry arts centre with some history and nature info,but most important a great little cafe. Great food ,freshly made ,good prices and friendly staff. Bit of a downside is the opening times of actual arts workshops, seems to be a irratic.Arts trail is a great event Visualizza piatti

Lovely visit for lunch for 3 of us. The café looked busier than we had noticed before, which was good to see. Very peaceful surroundings at the quarry.We had the Parsnip and Rosemary bake to die for ! One of us had Ham and Mushroom quiche. I could not eat all of mine, so asked for some wrapping to take it home it was so good.Thanks...only slight negative is the loo facilities...

Went there for lunch after being told by someone that it was a very nice setting. Yes, it was aery nice setting, good for taking the family for a wander after or before lunch. However, my husband's lunch the egg mayonnaise sandwiches were not what was expected 3 rounds of very dry white bread sort of held together (not very well) no butter, not much egg mayonnaise. The tea was tepid. My lunch was okay a ciabetta ham cheese and pineapple (very little pineapple).

Attended a private 90th birthday party. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing, freshly home cooked scones, lemon drizzle cake and shortbread that was to die for. The setting was fascinating due to the walls being adorned by local artists work and warm and cozy because of the crackling log burners. spent most of the day here arrived early and asked if it was ok to do some painting they were happy for us to do this so i set up lovely aspect to try and capture in my sketch book. we had lunch later, home made sauce and mushroom casserole with mustard mash excellent !!! the restaurant is light and airy plenty of room around the tables all set up in a tasteful vintage theme. we had apple crumble for puffing which again was superb. we let after three having had a very pleasant day. there is parking and outdoor seating, it is a bit off the beaten track out of town and you would need to be fit to get here if you dont have a car but imagine the bus comes close.

We went there today, leaving our coats at home for the first time in months as the sun was shining in a beautiful blue sky! This place grows more beautiful each time we visit. There was an art exhibition in the main cafe. The jewellery lady's shop had moved into the small museum which we thought was a big improvement. We chose to have our delicious meal at one of the outside tables. It was quite busy this lunchtime, with a group of twitchers using their long-distance lenses to spot ravens, magpies and even a peregrine falcon, all nesting in the crevices of the quarry walls. We sat there quite a while jsut soaking in the lovely dreamy atmosphere, gazing at the gorgeous flowers and thinking of...

Sadly I dont know what went wrong today but our lunch order was a shambles! The coffees were in mugs not cups, once of the sandwiches was on the wrong bread, the wholemeal bread is covered in seeds, seeds dont agree with all people, and also was found to be very dry. Then the baked potato never appeared, when I asked, it eventually came and the others had finished their lunch and I ate alone. It was also not very hot and evident it had been forgotten. When we went to pay the manager said he would deal with the bill, and reduced it by about £12, we said how we felt and he still did not turn round and apologize,but as he put money in the till muttered that good customer service is important !!...
