"Hello to the team who were working today. This is just to say a big THANK YOU for the lovely lunch and service we received today whilst celebrating my parents 66th Wedding Anniversary. The food was delicious, my mother hasn't eaten a 3 course meal for about 2 years, she did today! (My sea bass was lovely...and the sauce! It was a great surprise and a delightful touch to have their desserts served on a specially decorated platter, thank you so much, the perfect end to a lovely meal. I must also add that the staff couldn't have been more kind and helpful, we moved table, took ages to make decisions, we never felt rushed and always felt looked after. Thank you, we will definitely be visiting again! (Dad's 90 in March! Best wishes, Sarah Carter"

I was seated in a cramped corner, and it took some time for someone to come to our table. I had made a reservation a month in advance and expected a decent table. Justifying the poor seating by saying it was Valentine's Day doesn't sit well with me. The food was overpriced for pub fare, and the pictures online made it seem better than it actually was. I won't be returning.

Having been many times to the Packhorse in the 6 years that we've lived down the road from it, I was pleased it looked, felt and tasted much better than previous take overs reincarnations! The atmosphere was pleasant and tasteful, the staff were friendly and the food was good. We had the cajun halloumi burger. Myself and 2 friends were happy with our visit, although as I'm dairy free I missed out on coffee and a pudding as there was no alternative options. My friend requested a mocktail which was not available either. I'd suggest at least a fruit salad as a pudding option and soya milk for drinks as there are a fair few dairy intolerant people these days.
