All round excellent place to dine and drink, super friendly and helpful staff with loads of choice on the menu, ideal for meat eaters and vegans alike. Definitely worth a visit!!

We had a fantastic night at the Pennyweight listening to The Paul Skerritt band. There was a problem with the kitchen so the landlord rang me to explain and still offered to reserve a table for us at a later time so we could eat elsewhere. I later got another call to say the problem had been rectified and we weren't disappointed. The food was fantastic, well presented, great tasting and plentiful. Will we return?, yes we will.

We arrived to find that our reservation was not on record, and were instructed to sit at a different table. The tables were booked from 7 o'clock, but we were already aware that we would be finished by then. The bar service was a bit slow, but just for one order. The food selection was really good and reasonably priced. We didn't have to wait long for our meals, and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. My vegan friend was particularly pleased with her meal and dessert.

we went on Saturday at 4.00 clock, we just got drinks served. carol asked what we wanted to know we like the fish plate. no cadry so that we can have additional fish cakes or garnel! there were four of us. I asked for a window table and safe enough that was requested! the food took a while, but we were not in a hurry. we have more drinks. when the food arrived, it was great and they brought us a bowl of chips that were made delicious at home! these were free due to our waiting time! we're coming back. Thank you.

There were four of us. I asked for a window table and sure enought the request was granted! The food took quite a while but we weren't in a hurry. We got more drinks. When the food arrived it was superb and they brought us a bowl of chips which were delicious home made! These were complimentary due to our wait! We will be back. Thankyou.
