"If you're in search of a quality pub right on the Royal Mile, this is a great spot for a nice dinner. The menu features standard pub fare that is well-prepared. The real draw of this place, however, is the ambiance—think dark wood, amusing quotes, and unique wall decorations. The staff are friendly and attentive, and they even have live music in the evenings starting at 9:30 (we were too tired to stay for that). We had enjoyed a lovely, upscale dinner the night before, but we definitely preferred this pub! I ordered a delicious hamburger, while my husband tried the haggis tower, which he loved, along with a meat pie that he also thoroughly enjoyed!"

We were really disappointed, this restaurant turned us away, said we didn’t have a booking, and they couldn’t fit us in. Would not bother again, their attitude was appalling

The food and service were fantastic and great value for money. Sadly we visited with COVID restrictions so the atmosphere wasn’t great. I will definitely bust again when in Edinburgh, when things are a little more ‘normal’.

Highly rated on "Trip Advisor ', so gave it a try, wish I hadn 't. The service and Ambience are good but the food is pretty poor. I had the burger which was tough and tasteless, the bun was dry and the sauce was awful. The chips were ok. Visualizza piatti

One off our best experience of great food in a lovely restaurant I had the steak pie which was out of this world and deserts are really delicious with a great range of food to suit everyone would recommend to everyone to give it a try you’ll not be disappointed

The starters were excellent. My main course was decent, but I ordered the Rob Roy steak, and for the price, I was quite disappointed. The music created a great atmosphere, and the staff was friendly, but they need to improve their communication. At one point, three different employees checked on us for the same course, and we were asked if we wanted dessert menus before we had even finished our starters. It felt like we were being overly monitored. However, I believe that with better communication, these issues can be easily resolved.
