"A good start with friendly service and great cheese soufflé starters, but then it went rapidly downhill. I had the battered fish and chips the batter was beautiful but the fish was horrible it tasted old, and I couldn 't eat more than a mouthful. The smashed garden peas were fine, as were the chips. My partner had sea bream which was also past its best, though not as bad as mine. Very very disappointing. I told the waiter why I hadn 't eaten my fish, she didn 't bother to return but did tell the chef as when we asked for the bill the very friendly other waiter knew about it and told us the chef had said the fish was fresh in that day. If that 's true then they need a different supplier as it most definitely was not fresh. No offer of a reduction to the bill was made. We won 't be returning. This place used to be excellent but now it 's not even average. Another point they need to consider is that the online menu has far more choices than are actually offered when you get there. Oh, and clearly they know very little about food they think it 's called 'Palmer ' ham. pretty unprofessional. Finally, they need to sort their heating system out we were sitting near a radiator that sounded as if someone was hitting it with a rapid fire hammer. Awful."

We were expecting a more upscale atmosphere in the restaurant/dining area. We were hoping for a separate space from dog walkers and families with children. However, the food and wine were both outstanding.

The restaurant has a very accommodating staff who are great with dietary restrictions, offering a nice variety of fish and meat dishes at reasonable prices. Perfect for those who enjoy both options, and they are open to customizing your meal according to your preferences.

We had a relaxing lunchtime during a quiet, rainy day. The staff greeted us warmly and the conservatory was cozy and inviting even in the rain. The food was of a high quality, with our favorites being the Tempura shrimps and game terrines. We can't wait to come back when the weather is better!

The menu had changed when we were there, unlike the website. It is a beautiful place, but the selection of dishes was not great and event looked different what I saw online.
