The Plough - Menu

beautiful atmosphere and a beautiful land feel. for beginners I had the nachos and my partner had the fish goujons he really enjoyed. for the main I had one of the specials that was chicken chew, unfortunately it was a little dry, what was disappointing, but my partner had the mixed grill he thought was delicious. overall it was a good meal with large portions in a beautiful pub with perfect service. we would return and recommend.

Meals.... This pub used to produce high quality food, but unfortunately on a few recent visits it has been very disappointing! Had a meal recently (15th May 2010), ordered the Fillet Steak (medium), came really well done! So I sent back (very rarely do I complain). I was made to feel like a criminal when I complained and was told I could have my money back for that meal, which was fine until the landlord started brokering a deal for me to pay around half price! In the end I didn't pursue, paid what he asked and left sour end to what started out as a good evening!!

my own and my partner came to eat after the plough. the front of the house staff was inviting and showed us a table. we ordered the homemade Scotch egg from the specials board for starter. it was delicious! for the net we ordered a chicken sluice from the special menu and the chicken and speck pasta. the baked chicken was crispy and the whole meal was excellent. there was so much huh and speck in the pasta and the sauce was also amazing. the chef has cooked our meals ingeniously. there is a great atmosphere in the pub. can not wait to come back and try some of the other meals and drinks. they also have a great selection of real ales.

wonderful dinner experience. I wanted to write a review of the last night eating, but am surprised the only other review here our experience was the opposite. eating was simply amazing pan fried scallops with choritzo on a bed of rakete salat to begin was just mouthwater as the haddock for my pornstar, and my wife had the four cheese pasta for her main course. wonderful makes me wonder what some people think when they write reviews. if they like to eat good, they recommend the plough to add to their lists to make their own spirit to my personal belief, they will not be disappointed! thanks to the plough team, they will see themselves soon. david and wendy

mm, let me see. we arrived this afternoon at 14 o'clock, the place was not exactly packed, but the atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was quite inviting. in the parking lot there is a sign that says they can enjoy a three cure meal 7 days per week for £10 until we reached the bar that it had gone in the price on £13.95 apparently the local ring and book that they can eat for £10 when I asked if I could book a table and return in five minutes the renter(? seemed to think that I was honest I wasn't, honestly, I just wanted to save a few quids. Sunday, October 31st. had a really nice experience on plough, grimsargh, preston for Sunday 'lunch '. my man and I have eaten quite regularly here, but the first time for Sunday dinner. only two courses suppe and roast beef, garn cocktail and roast beef. the choice of meat was either roast or frying. the meal was served hot and the bark was so tender. at £11.95 for two courses this was quite reasonable. the puddings sounded interesting, but unfortunately we didn't have a room! the table staff was very attentive and asked several times if everything was after our taste (which is the norm at the pflug). all dips in this restaurant are freshly cooked to order what...more

Why the fall? a long-term customer of the plough and had excellent service and meals in recent years including family meetings, my 60th birthday party with all my children and grandchildren, also a few Christmas days meal. we visited this evening with the view of the booking of a Christmas meal, but as disappointing. we saw a similar decline in service and food quality with the previous host and host and they eventually lost our use. with the new managers there was an enormous improvement around, back to and improvement of the old standards, but in the last 3-4 months the standards have decreased again. service was good, we were the only diner as it was very...read more
