"I recently moved to bookham, and today I and a friend have decided to try carolina as it had very good reviews. we were not disappointed, the staff are beautiful, polite, chatty and so helpful the little garden on the back is so beautiful: we enjoyed a nice lunch. I had a latte and a cajun chicken sluice with an salad fresh and tasty and some amazing carrot cake my friend had the smoked salmon bag and then the **** with sawn and jam and a pot tee. it was beautifully presented and so well costed. we spent a nice afternoon and this will be a popular place from now on. many thanks to x hasten"

"Another visit to Arto with my better half for our anniversary on Tuesday night. It was quiet as you would expect, three or four tables taken. Nice atmosphere with the boss man in attendance and the food was better than ever. You cannot go wrong in Arto, with home made food that is so much nicer than the other other offerings these days. We love it and will always return! Food: 5"

"Very busy when I arrived. Owner served me and was courteous and nice. Sorry I can't give a glowing review. My food took far, far too long to arrive. Although I have a pretty common special dietary requirement which was used as justification for the very long wait for a sandwich, it was still not good. Other cafes manage to fix me food in far less time. I thought my sandwich filling tasted good but that it was very expensive for what I had amount of salad served with it and sandwich size were tiny. On the plus side, I really liked the vibe and all the memorabilia and historical explanation about the links with the shoemaker who had worked out of this shop maybe even lived there who left for America on the Mayflower, ultimately being an ancestor of many Americans including Marilyn Monroe."

"I have been coming to this coffee shop every week and some times every day since it first opened. I am particularly fond of it. For years it has been the only place to get a decent coffee in Dorking. This however is no longer the case with the Dorking deli now doing better drinks and more interesting and wide ranging food. I believe it’s time for two many cooks to step up a gear. With Starbucks about to open in the town (yuk) some custom will gravitate there which is why it’s all the more important that all of the town’s independents work to outdo the competition. coffee making can be improved especially speed which is excruciatingly slow. coffee quality is good but not exceptional...a visit to the best in London would demonstrate what the next standard of attainment should aspire To the food is too predictable...more choice would be great, especially the cakes which are always the same. and the decor is getting dated...it’s a late 90s early ‘00 look which is fine but could captivate more. A loyal customer who wishes you well..."

"I recently visited the king william iw pub in dorking and what magical place it is. in a magnificent landscape, the pub offers a magnificent view, a relaxed atmosphere and welcoming staff. the pub has a row of outdoor terraces, perfect for catching the sun or sitting in the shade. the food was excellent (calamari, followed by entensalat) and all at a very reasonable price. the staff was attentive and extremely friendly. I would highly recommend if they are ever in this part of the world, worth a visit or two."
