Macaroni Cheese Pie...This was from the Piemaker and is a well known pie in Scotland. It essentially what it sounds like is, a pie filled with macaroni and cheese. Interesting and tasty.

I tried the Scottish haggis pie and it was huge with great flavor. The dining area is a bit small, and the waitress could have been more courteous. However, the selection of pies was excellent! Visualizza piatti

Decent little pieshop, not glitz and glam, but try the Mediterranean Ring pastry! Also tried the double potato, and spinach pastries. Unfortunately they were cold, but despite this, the double potato is well worth a taste.

What Piemaker lacks in frills, it certainly makes up for in substance. It looks fairly unassuming from the outside but do not be fooled – this is an Edinburgh institution loved by many, so if you’re stuck short one day, pop in and see what all the fuss is about!

I love this small pie place! They serve a quite range of pies (try the scottish pie, haggis pie or the macaroni pie! and very CHEAP. It also located near the Edinburgh Uni main campus so it's a great place for a quick bite while taking break from your paper and assignment! Visualizza piatti

Fast and convenient lunch. I really enjoyed going to get a quick lunch at this place in between shows during the Festival Fringe. I liked their haggis pie, the ham and cheese roll, and their steak and pepper pie. I didn't like the macaroni and cheese pie the Scottish pie. I thought the macaroni and cheese pie was overcooked- just really dry, and the Scottish pie had a lot of fat in it. I think it might have been made with lamb (which is a meat that I'm not used to eating much). Staff is very friendly! Service is fast.

Situated in the scenic old town this is a traditional Scottish pie maker . Very popular with the residents and tourist . It's a small outlet with modest near the window seating . We went there twice as I loved the taste the first time around . First we had the haggis turnip and baked patato pie which was awesome and filling too . The second time around we tried traditional Scottish pie which was well baked and tasted just right . Though the spices are a bit low for my inidan taste buds but still I loved the taste and the glory of the nicely baked pies will try again once more

I visited this restaurant to try the renowned Mac 'n' Cheese Pie during our weekend in Scotland, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. The filling was creamy and had a classic macaroni and cheese flavor, while the pastry was wonderfully thin and buttery, yet held its shape perfectly. Based on a recommendation from another reviewer, I also ordered the Haggis Pie, which was my first experience with haggis! It was fantastic and almost matched the mac and cheese pie with its vibrant spices and smooth mashed potato topping.
