Ordered a rogan josh, was the least flavoursome curry dish I have ever eaten. The chicken was massively over cooked, to the point it would fall apart, it was so dry and dull.

Food is fine , bottle beers , shame not draught. And the owner must sort out the speaker near the front window. Speaker is blown and distorted and is **** annoying. So much so I would rather not return for that .

The food is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among many menu options.I love the service at the place and always takes care of offer the best quality.! I highly recommend this place. Best place to eat in Alton for sure.!

Brilliant recently moved to the area and have used a few times! First time I got a takeaway and had no plates or cutlery as we just moved in, the restaurant even let me borrow plates and knives/forks to use. Since then they've been consistently brilliant every time we've ordered.

Had a lovely early evening meal at The Saffron. Our first visit didn't let us down. Warm welcome and friendly service. Delicious food! Good selection of traditional dishes with some chef specials. Nothing flashy, just good food. Chicken Shatkora and Lamb Motika (forgive the spelling) were both lovely. Looking forward to our next visit..
