"if ever a place 'precise what it says on the dose ' then nostalgic kitchen in the sheep's edges is it! this place serves the right home cooked, hearty, comfort eating and it does it really well. I had to start the chicken ktikka bites. the chicken was generous and juicy while the Ktikka sauce tasted like any served in a curry house. then I had the lamb and mint cake, which was delicious. the bake was great, the lamb was cooked to perfection and the gravure was thick and tasty as I like it. a generous help from veg and clobigen chips! we finished with a brandy snap dessert with around and rosin ice to share (we were too filled to have one each! and yes, that was also delicious. to help with eating out rabatt, all this for two people came to a cheap £18.25 I couldn't believe it! even without the discount, this would have been a good value for money. the staff was friendly and the chef (owner?) even came a few times to make sure we enjoy our meal. we will definitely return!"

It was an impromptu visit whilst passing through the area. A quick call and a table was secured and made up for our arrival. The staff were very friendly and attentive, to us and our companion (Milo the Cavapoo). Great selection of home cooked food that satisfied us both, served promptly and considered our each and every need, even a small meat serving for the dog! We were too stuffed to make the dessert.. maybe next time! Good selection of drinks too

Great old fashioned pub/resteraunt serving great quality food at very reasonable prices. Plenty of different dishes to choose from on the menu. Something for everyone. Great bar and wine list. Hosts make you feel wellcome and you can have a friendly banter with them. The chef came out and introduced himself which you don't get at other resteraunts. This was a nice touch. As did the landlord serving behind the bar. Waitress service is excellent. Large car park. May be a good idea to book as it was quite busy when we were there. When we were leaving the chef gave my sister in law a bunch of flowers for her birthday. Great touch. Will definately return sooner than later.

My wife had Fish Chips when she visited with a group on Tue 14 Nov and told me the Fish Chips were the best she'd eaten. We were in the area Tue 21 and decided to call in, no booking made, but they managed to find us a table. All the staff were friendly, down to earth, and welcoming. Disabled parking right outside the door. We both ordered Fish Chips with mushy peas, and I have to agree the food was quality. The fish was hanging over the edges of the plate. It was so fresh, bright white flaky chunks of fish, and the lightest, crunchiest batter ever! The chef came out to chat with us near the end of our meal and thanked us for our custom. It's worth paying that little bit extra for such lovel...

"My wife and I had dinner at Coraima this evening whilst staying in Wakefield and what a delightful restaurant it is. The simple and authentically decor provides an instant relaxed atmosphere. We started with drinks. I had a Telba (a cold drink made with ground flax seeds) and my wife had a Beso (a cold, slightly sweet roasted barley drink). Both were delicious. For starters we shared a Beetroot Salad. It was very fresh with a delicately flavoured vinegar type dressing. As neither of us had had Abyssinian cuisine before, we decided to go for the 'Combination dish for two ' to give us an overall taster of their menu. A large round slate plate arrived with nine perfectly neat individual dishes sat on an injera (a slightly sour flat bread made from teff flour) with a further six neatly rolled injeras and four small chickpea flat breads. Every dish was very well spiced and made with care. Delightful and moreish. By the time we had eaten the whole plate we were nicely full but it did not feel heavy. We rounded the evening with hot drinks of a Shay (a North African spiced tea) and an Abyssinian coffee. The coffee (and popcorn) is not cheep at £9.95, however, this is by far the best coffee I 've ever tasted and a must for any coffee lover. We were informed that they roast the beans with spices in-house. Another sign of their dedication to present an authentic experience delivered with passion. Thoroughly recommended. Some additional information: 1. The restaurant is vegetarian and gluten free. 2. We had to pay a £20 no-show deposit when making the online table booking the day before, although, this has become, understandably, quite common for independent restaurants."
