"we live approx. 15 minutes in bramdean and found this little gem due to the lockdown we did not properly explore our environment and so this beautiful pub is added to our top 5 pubs to go and dine. the location was great. many parking spaces. the menu was for choice and very local products, from their garden also. the personal was beautiful and attentive and knowledgeable, which always helps. the decor was beautiful and quirky for its name is reflected in the interior design. the actual food was presented beautifully, the portions perfectly and the taste of each teller was very good! so much so that we will be booked again about the Mother's weekend s thank you. the ship we will see again soon"

Excellent food, large table to celebrate a birthday and nothing was too much trouble for the lovely staff. Also a beautiful garden with great play area for kiddies and plenty of outdoor seating.

Beautiful Garden, Good food, friendly staff, very old and interesting building. Good experience, dodgy parking situation though, if you got low suspension might struggle to get up the ramp into the car park!!

My friend and I would highly recommend the Ship. The evening was exactly what we wanted, delicious food, good service. The Ship is charming with pleasant staff and good chef. Overall most enjoyable and we would certainly go again.

Normally the food is very good, especially Sunday Roast. This time my meal was not as good, buttermilk chicken was not tender and the homemade coleslaw was not fresh. I also think the menu has limited choices and is not of gastro pub standard.

Booked table same day which was a bonus. Four x fish which, was probably, the best fish we've had for a lon,g, long time. Sat outside as beautiful weather. Lovely gardens and nice that the pub was dog friendly. Only down side, was that there was a very long queue to get served at the bar. Having said that, the lady apologised for the delay and was very fast putting our drinks order together (x8) and taking our food order. Very pleasant lady. Overall, a lovely experience and we shall be returning soon. Thank you
