Good food and great atmosphere. Staff very good and service excellent. It was really nice to visit a traditional good old fashioned pub with amazing antique furniture and a fantastic view of the country side.

Always good to visit the Shire Horse. Staff really look after us well and the food menu is very good too. Great to sit in the garden on a summers evening and look out over the surrounding countryside. Definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area. We called in with our campervan and 3 noisy dogs for a quick early meal after visiting The Old Manor (National Trust) in Norbury. What a delight: really accommodating friendly staff who brought our vegetarian meals out to us in the van. Food was excellent. Would definitely call in there again. It is dog friendly (but our dogs aren’t pub friendly). Lovely old pub with large car park and lovely views over the countryside the chimneys are interesting.

My wife and I came across this pub by accident after taking a wrong turn whilst visiting a few local villages and decided to go in simply to have a drink. What a little gem this place is. We were made to feel very welcome by the lady who served us drinks. Whilst we did not order any food we did observe lots of meals being brought out of the kitchen all of which looked very nice indeed. We had a look at the menu and it looked very extensive and the prices seemed quite reasonable. As we do not live in the area it is hard to say if we will ever go back but after our very pleasant experience I may look to visit again whenever the opportunity arises. Highly recommended.

My partner and I stopped off here for lunch today with our dog after having read good reviews. It was good to see lots of locals having meals, normally a good sign. We chose to sit outside under an umbrella as there was a pleasant breeze, despite the heat of the day. I decided on the seafood linguine and my partner chose the pan fried sea bass. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, I was particularly impressed with the amount of salmon, scallops and king prawns within the dish and the sauce had a lovely spicy flavour, something different from your average pub grub. Having enjoyed both our meals my partner indulged in a honeycomb cheesecake with clotted cream, a very tasty and well present... Visualizza piatti
