"I dined twice in the Punter recently. The food is very good. It tends to get very noisy in the evening if you sit inside because of the acoustics also reserve a place as it is popular. It's not too great with kids as it gets a bit claustrophobic with a lot of interesting objects around the walls that they are not allowed to touch and no alternative entertainment. In an adult only setup it is very cosy, very nice atmosphere and decoration."

Tasty and comforting home cooking. Lived-in decor, relaxing atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Beer choices could be a little more dynamic but a fair few pubs are guilty of that these days. Would happily recommend to almost anyone.

Food feels a little but pricey for a pub—for that price, I'd want restaurant quality+selection, instead of just very good pub quality with big-for-pub selection. One of our best meals in Cambridge by far! Cute little pub and gluten free options labeled on the menu which I always appreciate. I had the lamb steak with veg and garlic potatoes and it was so delicious. Hubby had steak tagliata and it was cooked to perfection! Will definitely be back. Take note that the dinner starts at 5pm. Maybe weekends good is served all day, not sure

Very strange experience. From the outside, looks like a very old fashioned pub. Coming through the door you need to wait to be seated and taken through a very quiet pub to a table. Very pleasant surrounds, nice enough, beer was nice enough, it all just felt a bit strange, like Covid times were back upon us. Nothing particularly wrong with it but just not an easygoing experience
