"Visited several times with varying friends. Couple who run this rude arrogant. More than once we were made to feel uncomfortable when we were last customers in a full hour before advertised closing time. Female pointedly paced past us whilst we were still eating moving chairs either pretending to tidy up or actually sweeeping the floor near us. The last straw was when the husband proceeded to hoover near around us. This was the only time we actually complained about such rude unhygienic practice to to be told by him if we didn't like it not to come back. Needless to say we haven't."

I dined at The Bistro, which is connected to a Horse Riding hotel. The food was reasonably priced and of high quality. I definitely plan on returning the next time I am in the area.

this is a short walk from the center of lanark. it is a quiet place .rooms are simple, but very comfortable and very clean.3rd times iw stayed here on my trip to Scotland. this hotel is definitely recommended.
