Beautiful atmosphere and creative food options. Pleasantly quiet for lunch, but fits to a meeting meal.

Honestly the food wasn't very goodI had a salad, and the chicken was overly greasyThe whole thing had way too much salad dressing on it.

Good food with limited menu very expensive £25 for roast beef, service a bit inattentive, atmosphere was good but stuck in a corner with no view (would have been good as a couple but not for a group). I would go back but at the price it will need to be a special occasion.

Had high expectations but a rather fraught and inefficient vibe, very very slow service, didn’t expect such a wait for Sunday roast (no starter or pudding yet 2.5hr from arrival to leaving) food satisfactory but better places and value for money can be found elsewhere for a Sunday roast in Surrey

I have eaten in the swans on numerous occasions and the standard of food deteriorates quickly. The menu is not very inspiring and the prices have risen for what is now very average pub grub. The staff has always been nice and friendly attentive, but the Fayre they serve leaves them off. I used to frequent The Swan often, but hadn't been there in a while until this past Sunday. I decided to bring my son and daughter-in-law, who was visiting from Taiwan, to The Swan as I always used to enjoy their Sunday roast and fish and chips, based on previous recommendations. However, I was disappointed this time as the food did not meet my expectations. The dessert options were limited and I did not enjoy the Sticky Toffee sponge as it was overly sweet.

Our experience of The Swan has been a bit hit and miss (mainly hits but there have been occasions when the service didn't meet expectations. Our last visit was however a success. The food was very good and made a change from the repetitive menu's of many of the other gastro pubs in the area. Personally I'd prefer it if the dining room was more comfort than bistro. Wines are good (drank too much so the bill reflected that : , the bar seemed to have a welcoming pub like vibe and I do believe there is a serious effort to offer really good service. We live locally and were really excited to come to the Swan as so many people recommended it in the neighbourhood. The Wheatshef is usually our go-to, but we gave Swan a try. Such a disappointment! Things started off nicely, but after we ordered and waited 45min+, the food never came! Not even the kids order (fish and chips). I asked the staff if they could check and 'they were plating it right up '. Once it came out, you could tell the pasta had been sitting out under the burner for quite some time and the beef roast was barely visible on my plate since the portion was EXTREMELY small.
