"Don 't be fooled by the cleverly worded menu and the nice interior; the aim of this restaurant is to get people in and out as quickly as possible. We were given a 90 minute timeslot, despite having booked a day earlier. A note on the table told us what time we had to leave. Worst of all, we were told to be nice about it. It has been a long time since I have been to a MacDonald, but I doubt even they would be so offensive. Realising we would not have time for three courses with a bottle of wine and a coffee, we had to opt for main course and desert. It would have been fairer and quicker if they had set an automatic timer on the table, because we had to keep putting our forks down to look at our watches. Perhaps you can mention that idea to them. They have burgers on the menu along with more formal dishes. I know this is trendy, but it just does not work. It is true you can eat a burger in an hour or less, but, if you book a table for a four course evening meal, it is going to take longer. To cap it all, the vegetables were raw. By that, I don 't mean crisp and al dente, I mean raw. They obviously didn 't have time to cook them."

First visit to the Wimborne pig it was faultless from the lovely welcome from the staff, perfect table near the window ,service and amazing food and drink. Will definitely visit again soon and will definitely recommend to family and friends

Our meal was beautiful! everything was mouth-watering and delicious! I had the char with potatoes and samphire, it was served with an onion bhaji, crisp and sweet, and a delectable light curried sauce- stunning! All of us really enjoyed our meal. Totally recommend this restaurant for a special meal.

Upon entering the restaurant, you are immediately struck by the ambiance and the professionalism of the staff. The beautifully decorated and well-laid out space makes you feel at ease right away. The extensive menu featuring local produce makes it difficult to decide what to order. The Wimborne Pig exceeds high standards and checks all the boxes. We had a wonderful evening and look forward to returning on our next trip to Dorset.
