"Since our first visit to Norfolk in 2014, when the area was still illuminated by gas lights, we have returned to this pub. We visited again on a Sunday evening and had a fantastic meal. My wife and I each started with the appetizers: a salad and mushroom and garlic croquettes. They were delicious. For the main course, I had the roast beef, which was cooked to perfection, accompanied by a rich gravy and an excellent selection of vegetables. The large Yorkshire pudding was the icing on the cake. My wife ordered the homemade beef burger, which was once again outstanding. We plan to return in September for more. We didn't have room for dessert, as the portions were generous."

This pub is perfect. The main pub rooms are authentic unspoilt. The food is delicious and the B B rooms are five star luxury. Despite the food B B trade the pub has retained a strong pubby feel and is still occupied by a friendly bunch of locals. Visualizza piatti

Such a lovely country pub. Beautiful garden with an outside bar and BBQ planned for the August bank holiday. Food was delicious and good value It looks closed but a warm welcome awaits inside with fresh flowers on the table and good choices for food and ale

The changes made have been for the better—this place still serves the best pub grub around. The staff are really friendly and very professional. The steak and ale pie is fantastic, and the steamed pudding is perfect for a cold winter night. You simply can't go wrong here!

Food was exceptional. 3 very happy customers. Pork and apricot pie was to die for! Only slight gripe was the potential for some background music to create a bit of atmosphere in the pub, But couldn’t fault it. Now, about the dessert—wow! I had the three cheese and spinach apple cake with a side of seasonal vegetables, and it was simply the best tart I’ve ever tasted. I would have had another if I hadn’t been so full! The entire place has been beautifully refreshed, and the updated bathrooms look fantastic. We will definitely book a weekend stay to enjoy more of those delicious cakes!

Beautiful traditional pub with great service, real ale (of good quality) from local brewery's served straight from cask and a gorgeous open fire, just what you want on these cold winter days. Stopped to have a bite to eat today and had a beautiful homemade venison pie with seasonal vegetables which hit every spot, even the 1's I didnt think needed hitting. Will definitely come again.
