"One of the best in Leicester! Overall, The food from this place is delicious. The poppadoms always come fresh and with a delicious chutney selection. I usually order the butter chicken because you can never go wrong with that as it’s packed full of flavour and never disappoints a keema naan one of the tastiest around, I prefer how it’s actual mince inside, as opposed to a thin patty of meet that tastes cheap like a donner kebab . As well as butter chicken, we’ve ordered the chicken tikka a lot too. This is where the issue arises. It’s a 50/50 on which chicken tikka you’ll get. Sometimes, it comes looking like the first picture chicken tikka . Chicken chunks in a dark orange creamy smooth gravy. Other times, it comes as the second picture …also chicken tikka . Which is slices of chicken in a much darker colour gravy which is no where near as smooth and clearly has other visible ingredients in it herbs etc . They also taste different. The first one is what you’d expect from a chicken tikka. The second one is much more spicy and has a more intense flavour. Both are tasty. It’s just not consistent! I have contacted the restaurant about this but they failed to reply."

Elegant decor. Lovely mouth watering dishes. Samosa Chaat,along with ghost handi , was awesome, also we liked faluda as a dessert. Definitely a place to visit with family and friends.

One of the best for pakistani cuisine you can find in Leicester. We wanted to dine in during our 2 months stay in Leicester but could not spare time for that. So got it delivered. Highly recommended for Pakistanis, Indians or anyone who enjoy spicy food.

It was my first visit to Tipu Sultan in Leicester, and it was a great experience. The staff were great, friendly, welcoming, and provided a great service. The find was brilliant, and portions were just right. Definitely visit again when I'm back in Leicester.

Finally managed to visit Tipu Sultan. It was a busy evening and the service reflected this. We had to stand get their attention initially. The food was a mixture, the mushroom paneer curry was nice but salty. Not too keen on their butter chicken at all! Chops for starters were tasty as was the spinach chicken although it looked very green! Lassi was tasty.
