exceptionally good eating, great service and a beautiful environment. many Chinese customers I think is a good guarantee for authenticity and quality. large portions and very reasonable prices for what we ate.

we often visit the Leicester branch and have never been disappointed, always eat generously at points and portions. to test the london filiale, the portions were smaller and not so delicious. the crispy lammings are a must when we have visited.

10/10 place. Food is great, freshly cooked and really tasty. Our waiter was great, really friendly, attentive and professional, he explained where he was from in western China and it was really interesting to hear. The food is great. My family and I travelled to Leicester for my son's graduation and found Karamay during our evening walk. We had a great first experience of Uyghur Cuisine. The meals were delicious and like nothing that I'd ever tasted before, with the lamb skewers being my...personal favourite. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

they could not be more helpful. the whole food was delicious, especially the hot sour suppe. I had lammed and they were very tasty. I shared king po tofu and salt and pfeffer tofu and the two homemade nude species. absolutely delicious. can't judge it high enough. the lemon green tea was also very refreshing. I can't judge it high enough. Try it!

rarely eat Chinese dishes in leicester there are so many good Indian and Italian restaurants. never before eat uighur kitchen. it is excellent. the chichen with fried brot sounds strange, but is really delicious. the lammskewers. make a great starter. the service was excellent and happy to explain and recommend. the restaurant does not serve any alcohol that is in order. the jasmintee was very good. but I hope that next time I see more drinks selections. My partner and I had a wonderful dinner at Karamay. The restaurant is beautiful and has a really relaxing atmosphere. The food was incredible and the manager was so helpful and friendly. He made us feel so welcome and relaxed, and recommended the signature noodles...and the traditional rose tea, both of which we ordered and loved. Even if you don’t think you like rose flavoured things very much, the tea is amazing! Would highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be coming back next time we are in Leicester!

I love Chinese food! Prawn toast, crispy chilly beef, salt and pepper wings, sweet and sour chicken etc. However this type of cuisine is something else. We ordered all the authentic uyghur dishes and shared amongst 7 of us. We were not disappointed! The chicken...stew was full of flavor, packed with chicken, veggies, thick noodles which were thicker than pappardelle pasta. You first think the flavours are familiar, some oriental aromatic and some Indian heat spices but then you get hit with unique flavors which just dazzle the tastebuds. Crispy lamb chops were sublime! This place is nothing short of 10 stars if I could . The food is outstanding . I’m new to Leicester so it was daunting ordering as it is with any other place you visit but It was such a great descion . Me and...and my husband have confirmed this is it for us now in terms of ordering Chinese this is our go to . Where do I start... the spicy prawns ... wow if your a sea food lover TRY they are delicious , so much flavour and swimming in sauce not a dry dish at all ! The homemade noodles I think the dish is called “leghman” I’m not sure but WOW iv never tried them before this was a new thing and Wow I don’t think I could eat the tradiotional chow mein style noodles after this .They were amazing...
