The smoked sheeps cheese starter was delicious as were the dumplings and the duck. Great, friendly service and we can't wait to go again.

Outstanding food and service. I think the price is spot on for the quality of food you get. Get the hunter meat and cheese board, potato pancakes with goulash or the deer knuckle. So good.

Very overpriced!!! Half of the menu was not available, bone twice the size of the steak! pieces of ice in mojito, the girl behind the bar used fingers to pull ice cream off the scoop then lick them and then use hands to put apple pie ln the dish !!!! Definitely wont be visiting again

Went for my friends birthday as she always wanted to try polish food. She loved it, we all loved it. We tried all different things and all was delicious and beautifully presented. Service was amazing as well, nothing was to much trouble. Would definitely recommend to everyone, thank you for an amazing evening and food x

Delicious food, heaven in your mouth . "Stumbled across The Bushel quite by chance on a Thursday lunchtime whilst having a day trip to Newmarket. They had a large ‘A’ board outside which caught my attention. The full menu was on one side and a special offer on the other side. All looked good so in we went, my wife and I. Greeted warmly as we entered. They had a great special offer on of two cooked breakfasts for a set price which included toast and tea or coffee and orange juice. We both liked the appeal of that and ordered it. Service was quick and friendly, nice and clean inside and the table had been freshly cleaned. The cooked breakfast for our lunch, I know ! was brilliant, plenty of it, nicely cooked and the toast and pot of tea topped it off nicely. Very pleased all round with both the food which was excellent but also good value accompanied by friendly service. Never been in there before as we live many miles from Newmarket but if ever we are there again we’ll make a beeline for The Bushell."

"Takeaway. This used to be our go to Thai. Never again will I order. Food was absolutely vile. And tiny portions to boot. For the price you would be better ordering from McDonalds. The tempura veg wasn’t tempura. Thick gloopy oil sodden batter to try and bulk out the rather pitiful veg that was hidden. The ribs were full of fat and inedible. Looked boiled then griddled last minute. The prawn toasts were ok. But for over £7. No. All the starters are no longer in containers. Now delivered in foil lined bags. So the starters sweat in their own grease. Nice. Needed 10 minutes in the oven on a rack just to render the grease out. Dipping sauce pots were 1/4 full. The beef stir fry Pad gra pao was also awful. God knows what beef this was as it was completely inedible. Sauce was ok if slightly oily. Panang prawns was ok. Predominant taste was coconut milk. 6 medium size prawns for £13.25? No. Total rip off. We ordered some separate plain noodles. 1/3 of container full. Dry as a bone. £4.70? I’ve no idea what’s happened to this restaurant. It was the best in Newmarket. Obviously under new direction and trying to recoup lost Covid pounds. Such a shame. My advice is avoid at all costs. Don’t waste your hard earned money. 1/10."

"I ordered a meal from this restaurant and was disappointed to find that the food was cold. To make matters worse, the mozzarella sticks were green! I would not recommend this place. My friend and I had wanted chicken and chips, but we were highly dissatisfied with our experience. Not only was the portion size minimal for the hefty price of 16 pounds, but the food looked nothing like the photos. I will not be ordering from here again."

"Having recently moved to the area we looked for a nice place for breakfast and already it's becoming our regular place for it! This time I had the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs which was delicious with plenty of good salmon and nicely cooked eggs, and previously I've had the Pantry breakfast, which contrary to another review I think is all the better for the absence of beans and a hash brown personal tastes I'm sure, but I prefer a reasonable plate of tasty and good quality items like this over one filled up with lesser things as is often served elsewhere. The atmosphere is good and the service has always been very welcoming and friendly, and so we're looking forward to going the for dinner sometime soon the tapas night sounds great!"

"We went as a family of early evening when it was quiet. Wait staff were masked, there was plenty of sanitiser, we sat inside as there were flying ants about, but outside seating was plentiful We all ordered burgers, which were freshly cooked. My...portobello mushroom burger was delicious, moist and tasty, and the cajun fries were delicious. After reading a previous review, we all had the shakes my Oreo one was perfect: like a frozen liquid dessert! Overall, a great meal, at a reasonable cost!"
