"We dined at varanasi restaurant for my birthday. What a fabulous and unique find. Blown away from the moment we stepped in. Pleasant and friendly welcoming. Entrance and as you go into the restaurant almost as though you have transitted into a restaurant in a different country. Decor and design is truly immaculate, classy, elegant and completly different to what i have seen in birmingham. Food absloutly outstanding, exceptionally tasty, flovours and spices just right and moctails very nice. A special thank you to the waiting team who served us with such professionalism, friendliness, made us feel so important, thank you also for bringing out the cake and singing happy birthday you can actually sing guys. We loved our evening, thank you to the waiter for giving us a tour of the restaurant we loved the private dining rooms very equisite and luxurious, we are looking to hold a christmas party so we will most definently will be back."

The entrance to the restaurant is probably worth all the points as it is just beautiful. The food was stylishly presented and was interesting and unexpected. We were pleasantly surprised to be serenaded by a Bollywood singer at this restaurant. Despite being six meters away, her performance was loud but fantastic, even though we were unfamiliar with Bollywood movies. The food was excellent - while not overly extravagant in appearance, it was well-presented, delicious, and served with politeness. The venue itself was stunning, with a three-story hall that left us wondering about its history. Although on the pricier side (we paid over £100 without wine), it was worth every penny. I highly recommend this place.

Varanasi is a good Indian restaurant. However, it’s certainly a place where the decor speaks louder than the food. The drink menu is extensive, and if you like eating meat, then you will find a wide spread of delicious curries in different North Indian style. The vegetarian parts, like Naan, Paneer and Daal, for feel neglected, undercooked, underspiced and overly sweet. Ultimately, it’s one of those fancy places where you come more for the decor and vibe, more than anything else. All in all, would recommend to try at least once. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £20–30 Recommendation for vegetarians: Would not recommend Vegetarian options: Very limited.
