"I am sure this hotel/restaurant will rate more than 3 stars if I were to visit at a later date. The hotel was under very new ownership when I arrived. The welcome left much to be desired. Staff seemed more interested in setting up for a soon to happen wake than assisting me. On getting to my room with very heavy bags up very steep stairs I was disappointed to find the decor reminiscent of the 1970's..On going back downstairs for a drink I found the bar not open. Luckily my brother who had stayed here previously had recommended the pub across the road. Over the next couple days I found the bar either not open or the pipes were being cleaned. On waking the first morning I wanted a cuppa only to find no milk provided with the complimentary tea/coffee. The bed was fantastic, the bathroom though dated had plenty hot water. Once I managed to make contact with the staff they were helpful. I would stay again in the future as the White Hart is located in the heart of the lovely village of Wiveliscombe close to Taunton. Hopefully next time the new owners will of had chance to modernise. Noteworthy details: Hotel was under very recent new ownership"
