The food here is AMAZING fantastic menu a real treat a proper country pub with fresh fish game steaks amazing home made pies . I would recommend booking.

Still one of the best places to eat in the area. Always freshly cooked, generous portions and very high quality. Said it before you need to go a long way to get a better meal!

Eaten here many times, good food, well cooked, varied menu and specials -you definitely need to book. The food reception area is a little cluttered/chaotic and looks like the bar area needs a good tidy up but this doesn’t affect the food/service. Would recommend trying... Visualizza piatti

We love it here we have been many times over the last few years as couples, groups, friends and every time is brilliant. The staff are great; the ambience is nice and relaxed. The food is just amazing, fresh, tasty and plentiful every single time. The game is something you have got to try I can happily say I will try anything this menu has to offer as I am confident it won’t disappoint!

The pheasant with mushrooms and a brandy sauce melted in the mouth, my husband tried the burger. A healthy salad made you feel less guilty for enjoying a generous portion of chips, onion rings and the succulent burger topped with bacon and cheese. A friend also enjoyed the sea trout in white wine sauce, again beautifully made and delicious. We are ALWAYS pleased when we visit the white lion. A gem not to be missed.

so i was greated by tom houston and he was delightful. service was quick and drinks were out fast. althought the drinks didnt contain ice. they were quite warm. then the food came out and it tasted quite yummy until i found a toe nail in my mash potato. i called tom over and he apoliseged for this mistake and added another one for extra flavour. service was 10/10 from tom houston and i will definitly be back soon! thanks a lot Visualizza piatti
