"it is easy to see why fish kitchen is the number one. elegance, great eating and moderate prices - they have everything and the staff is very friendly. I was expelled by natives and was somewhat disappointed that it was a self-service. in contrast to other self-service guests in Scandinavia and kiel, however, they had someone who greeted and sat me. I got a menu and didn't have to order and then fight for a table. more atmosphere with views of the local car park and matching decoration you cannot wish. my dishes were quickly prepared. I started with a generous plate with fried and well seasoned garnels, accompanied by a small laib Italian brot and creamy cocktail sauce. they were not bred on a farm. my main dish was a hearty nasty. it was thick and creamy and loaded with a variation of seafood, among them mush, garnel and cadry. Not only cadry, as you get it at some places. another laib delicious brot accompanied the stew. I ordered a Rubarb-Limonadensoda, which was delicious and completely different. I had eaten this for the first time in the D-Bahn-Bistro, and this was the first restaurant I visited since my arrival and that led the delicious drinks. my entire meal cost under 25 euro. I can only recommend this cozy Sealover jewel."

"On a sunny Sunday with 5 persons reserved a table for 1730. We were very kindly greeted and a chic sunny place was assigned to us. The restaurant seems to be new and it was since 1800 honestly full. Despite all this, several service personnel ran over the terrace and we felt well lifted. When the cards were taken, we were also allowed to order drinks. As it belongs, the ladies first got the cards. Without asking, a delicious bread was served as an appetizer. All the pizzas ordered and despite the great urge, like waiting time was only 30 minutes. It was repeatedly looked at whether everything was fine and the obligatory question was not missing. The pizzas were very large and tasted super fresh. The dough a dream. Totally super enthusiastic. Great team, great service and great ambience. For children there is an extra set of games. The toilets were very clean and modern for people with disabilities and wheelchair users a separate and very well accessible toilet overall. Prices are adapted to the situation, but completely fine and justified."

"my wife was already several times in this valiant and only reported positive so I was happy to eat for my first holiday in laboe. our little (girls in the age of 9 years) had another half a crêpe on the hand we had bought her before, because she can't start eating there much. when we sat and found a place in the outside area, we were told directly by the presumed chief kellner that we are not served if it does not throw away the crêpe. after we have informed our understanding, but also said that we wanted to eat well here, there was still no understanding on the waiter side, so that the chef had to be switched on. until then, the crêpe and thus also the whole thing was eaten in a round. unfortunately it did not stay. we were then served by a nice waitress, and ignored by said waiter, who apparently took all the matter very personally. After our waitress had dinner and we wanted to pay, the waiter ignored our please to pay so we had to ask a completely different waitress.Also that really good food and the good wein can then no longer save such an experience. can it be so easy? as soon as a service provider goes well with the child of the elders, he has the parents already in the pocket. for me it was the first and last eating in buena vista, we should probably have gone straight after the first negative experience."

"the Bergklause, on Schwester-Therese Strasse, in the Kiel village-like suburb of Holtenau, is the answer to many a dream. Well-cooked basic food served at the comfort of a candle-lit table decorated with fresh flowers, but without any of the pomp associated with many more expensive restaurants. For years, this restaurant close to the marina on the northern bank of the Kiel Canal, where it joins the Kiel Sound near the Baltic coast, has served many of its maritime visitors and would-be sailors with hugely ample portions of steak (cooked to perfection), schnitzel to cover your plate, and a selection of chips (French fries), bratkartoffeln (fried potatoes), and accompanying vegetables such as green beans, onions and pickles. Choose from an extensive menu but please note that portions are always - and without exception - massive. There is a passable dry red house wine, but you will probably enjoy a good glass of the German cool and satisfying beer with your meal. Waiting times vary, but you can wait in comfort at your table, where you will be either left in peace or approached by one of the colourful local characters who pop in for the conversation or a swift beer. The "patron" is talkative, but has little English. No matter - you are guaranteed a warm welcome. Finally prices: expect to pay between 20 and 30 Euros per person, inclusive of a beer or two. Particularly recommended is a Friday evening, from 7 pm until late. Guten Appetit!"

"I have been there several times a year since about 2006, although I live in Bonn by now, I regularly order pizza, rarely pasta, in 2020 I was the last time in the restaurant for a given occasion. According to rumors from my fellow visitors, a few foods with fish on the map should sometimes only be quite okay and the covering on the pizza is too dark, which was rarely noticed by my companions, but never to a degree that it would have disturbed the overall impression. Personally, I can live very well with the fact that the salami no longer sprays before fat, but of course is not black for a long time. I have often expressed special wishes and almost always get something misunderstood and it was immediately offered to deliver a new plate, which was unnecessary. I never noticed that the staff were friendly or attentive, on the contrary. I do not know a better Italian, especially with regard to the price performance ratio and the variety of the map in the region. And so I'm sure I'll come back many more times if you can."
