"On Friday, April 23rd, I made a reservation for a table of six at a restaurant. The day before, the restaurant sent an email to confirm my booking. However, when we tried to call and change the reservation to a table for 5, there was no answer. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we discovered it was closed and gated up. This was supposed to be a special birthday celebration for one of our group, who was really looking forward to having sushi. We had to quickly find another place to eat on a Friday evening at 6, which was especially disappointing for those in our group who had traveled from South London for the occasion. The lack of communication and consideration by the restaurant was unacceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant to a friend and will not be going back. This incident also reflects poorly on Open Table, as they should ensure that such issues do not happen. Our birthday plans were completely ruined and we had a very unpleasant dining experience at another restaurant as a result. Absolutely disgusted."

The sushi and service at this restaurant are fantastic. It's the best sushi I've had in London and it's very reasonably priced.

This restaurant has a truly amazing atmosphere. The food was flawless and the service was top-notch, just as you would expect in Japan. I highly recommend giving this place a try - I will definitely be returning.

Yida Sushi is my local sushi restaurant. Despite it being local, I think they consistently have some of the best sushi in London and I like my sushi. Why is not consistent is the service. The owner is super nice and things are very good when she’s around, but when she’s not and the place gets a little busy, the staff seem a little overwhelmed. Don’t let that stop you from going here to get awesome food at very reasonable prices. The ambience is also fantastic on a nice day, try to sit on the back porch where you can enjoy beautiful green Canonbury that seems a world away from busy St Paul’s road outside.
