"Today I went to the Zizzi restaurant in Kingston upon Thames. We ordered drinks, a starter, and two main dishes. Unfortunately, one of the drinks was incorrect and had to be replaced. We had to wait a long time for the starters, and when they finally arrived, one of them was wrong - I had asked for no onions on the garlic bread, but it came with onions. My wife had originally ordered risotto for her main course, but we were told they had run out. Then, we were informed there was no avocado for my chicken salad. My wife ended up changing her order to the meatless meatball calzone, which was bland and unappetizing. There was also a long wait between the starter and main courses. Overall, the restaurant was poorly organized, the service was terrible, and there was a lack of options due to a lack of supplies. This was probably the worst Zizzi's I have ever been to."

I have enjoyed numerous lunches at this lovely restaurant. The atmosphere is inviting and the staff is attentive. The food is simply gorgeous.

We have come to this zizzi’s several times whilst shopping in Kingston, it’s a lovely restaurant, attentive welcoming staff, great food and wine. Highly recommend

Popped in with my son Aleks for pizza on Thursday early evening. Had garlic bread followed by a pepperoni pizza and a meat feast. Amazing quality and a lovely glass of red wine. Staff and management amazing Visualizza piatti

The lasagna at this restaurant is fantastic, but the portions seem smaller compared to those in London. The staff is also excellent. However, we were disappointed that our voucher was not accepted, even though it clearly stated that it could only be used at that time.

We visited last night for my dads birthday and it was really lovely. Service great with lovely waiters, food was really lovely (amazing pizzas), great choice of wine and desserts too. The restaurant itself is lovely and clean and modern. Thanks for a lovely experience.

Zizzi provided excellent service for my family of four during a busy lunchtime. The service was quick and friendly, and the pizza, cooked in a wood-fired oven, was delivered to our table in just 20 minutes. We all enjoyed our meal in the beautiful and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit. Visualizza piatti

We returned for another lunch even after a disappointing previous visit. Sadly, again, the food took forever to arrive and was not worth the wait. It was tasteless and disappointing. Twice in a row is not a good sign and you really reluctantly pay the bill for a less than mediocre meal. Staff start attentive but they trains off too. I hope they bounce back from whatever current situation they are in as they did use ti be very good

My family went to this restaurant tonight. The food and drinks were decent, but the service was lacking. The bill had items that we did not order, which my husband pointed out. They brought us a corrected bill, which we paid, including a tip. However, after my husband left, the manager came to me and demanded more money because the second bill was also incorrect. When I asked why there were mistakes, she rudely replied, "excuse me," and left without apologizing.

"Beautifull hotel, I guess one can call it trendy , but I just don 't understand how they can justify the price £130/night and that most of the time will go to £160 as they run out of entry level ones. So I guess the answer is there because people pay for it! But let 's just make some relevant comparisons Birmingham Grand literally in the heart of the city, brand new, 5* hotel, with all recently decorated rooms to the highest standard is £135 15 for breakfast. Needless to say rooms are air conditioned, fully equipped and genuinelly very posh. Hotel has lifts, has porters and the service is top notch. The Lion is barelly 4* just for trendiness alone, but the actual quality of furnishing is closer to 3*, has no lift and you will be lugging your bags up and down mutiple flights of stairs (and I mean multiple like 8 going up and down) trought narrow corridors to mediocre room (nothing wrong with it just mediocre) which isn 't even air conditioned. Sorry, I just don 't get it. That said restaurant is good fully fine dining if you are into it. Althought in my oppinion it doesn 't fit into the rest of the hotel. So it is ~3.5* hotel which is very youghtfull and trendy and then you get 5* fine dining with very tiny portions for the dinner (which is not criticism of restaurant, it is very good on it 's own). In conclussion I just don 't get what niche this hotel is filling, who stays there and why. The price for the rooms should be £75 95 tops. Shreesbury is not exactly prime tourists destination either (at least shouldn 't). But it seems it is working out for them, I just would not recommend it, I would not stay in it again and it is definatelly not worth the price. Neither in isolation, nor in comparison."

"Open since 1970 and located on Mardol, one of Shrewsbury’s oldest streets @thecurryhouseshrewsbury serves locally sourced ingredients married with traditional spices and chillies from the Indian subcontinent, a match made in heaven. 5 5 Recommended Price No better way to kick off proceedings but with popadoms, chutneys and fresh onion salad. On to appetisers and there are so many tempting dishes to choose with many of these exclusive to the curry house. Our first time trying Pani Puri. A sweet and spicy hot street food snack filled with chickpeas and tamarind sat on a bed of crunchy, nutty Bombay mix. With a building but pleasant heat, definitely something everyone should try. The quality and freshness of the seafood was exceptional. Spicy king prawns were huge and cooked to perfection. Charred on the outside for flavour but juicy and meaty. Trio of King scallops were beautifully tender and of a good size with sweetness from the tamarind liquor. Lamb rogan Josh tender lamb shoulder in a medium hot ginger tomato and onion sauce. A strong take on a traditional favourite of ours. Fresh from the Tandoor a generous mix of marinaded chicken, lamb, king prawns and a chargrilled lamb chop. The Tandoori deluxe massalla sauce was the perfect blend of sweetness melting into a subtle heat which brought the dish together perfectly. The curry house takes traditional dishes and flavours from the Indian subcontinent and elevates them to a level beyond expectations. Thank you for our invite to share the exciting menu created with passion and creativity.
