"Chose To the Old Swam Becuase it seemed to have some fish dishes and also offered seasonal pruning dishes. Because rain was predicted, we went to the restaurant and not to the outside area, but were immediately shown out where we had already noticed... all tables were occupied with covers. It started pouring as our main course arrived. The waiter immediately took our dinners inside and found us a table, but it was clear that the other employees were indistinguishable to allow customers inside and we started to dine with just another pair in the restaurant. The menu is carefully listed for various nutritional requirements and allergies, but my wife had an allergic reaction shortly after the first bite and spent the rest of the time in the toilet. I told the waitress that my wife had an allergic reaction, but she showed no sympathy and stood over me when I paid. The food, as far as I had something about it, was somewhat curious, but the experience was unsatisfactory."

Hervorragendes Drei Gänge Menü mit ausgesucht freundlicher Bedienung bei wunderschönem Blick von der Terrasse auf die Krämerbrücke. Sehr viel schöner geht kaum. So kann ein Urlaub ausklingen.

This is a beautiful restaurant especially when it is summer (and summer seems endless this year and you can sit outside. The service is great. I would have given it a much higher rating, but my fish seemed a little less than fresh (to be sure it was a Sunday night....

Ich hatte einen wunderbaren pulled pork Burger, der eigentlich nicht wirklich zur modernen thüringischen Küche der Karte passte. Aber er war genial. Meine Begleitung war begeistert von ihrem thüringischen Zwiebelkuchen. Die Bedienung war ausgesprochen freundlich, zuvorkommend und schnell.

Dinner dish, in July, so with Pfifferlingen on the card. The dish was great, but not made with Pfifferlingen. The staff denied this, but it easy to detect a difference betwen pfifferlingen and oyster mushroom after 3 days of German dishes with Pfifferlingen. Unfortunate, because the location, service and food was delicious.

Zweimal zog es uns bisher spontan zum Alten Schwan und wir waren jedes Mal rundum zufrieden. Perfekt gegartes Fleisch, wunderbare Gemüsebeilagen und eine innovative, deutsche Küche bei der die gesamte Familie glücklich werden kann. Die Lage ist natürlich hervorragend! Wir sitzen super gerne im hübsch bepflanzten Außenbereich und genießen den Blick auf die Krämerbrücke. Übrigens: selbst spät (bei 21 Uhr) wird man noch freundlich empfangen & bekocht. Für den Service ebenfalls einen Daumen hoch! Ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch! (Tipp: ich war seeeehr begeistert von meiner Salat-Vorspeise, nur zu empfehlen, besonders den aktuellen auf der Pfifferling-Saison-Karte)

Sehr zuvorkommender Empfang durch den Restaurantchef . Angenehme Atmosphäre. Schon beim Betreten umfängt den Gast der Wohlgeruch eines gepflegten Speiselokals. Die Karte ist nicht zu umfangreich, das Angebot sehr ansprechend. Die Zubereitung der Speisen erfolgt sorgfältig. Wir hatten Kartoffelsuppe und Bärlauchsuppe als Vorspeise, dann Tafelspitz mit Bouillongemüse und Wolfsbarschfilet mit Zuckerschoten und kleinen kanarischen Kartoffeln . Beides sehr lecker. Dazu Riesling vom Weinhaus Weimar. Zum Nachtisch Käseplatte ( halbe Portion) und Sorbetvariationen. Alles sehr gut. Nur der Espresso war nicht so besonders.
