I went here during a business trip. They have inside and outside dining. There are also numerous stuffed animals beavers, I believe a monkey, and deer to name a few. We ate outside and, of course, I had schnitzel. My food quality was very...good and I especially liked the sausage appetizer. I little pricey, but the food was comparable. Very nice place to go for an authentic German meal. Pets are allowed (of course)

This is a high quality restaurant on the outskirts of Hamburg. They have wild game expertly prepared. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly despite the fact our dinner started late and we were the last ones in the restaurant. If you are near the...airport and are willing to take a few minute taxi ride you will get an excellent meal. I had the venison back straps that I split with a co-worker. Simply delicious.

Located in a nice and quite location, this hotel/restaurant has a beautiful terrace for serve dinner and equally good kitchen! The service by Marcel (our waiter for the evening) was exceptional .. He was excellent with service but also with suggestions. Most of us ordered...the Wattkorn menu, which was tasty and fulling. I personal exchanged the main course to fish and they were more than happy to accommodate! If you have a sweet tooth, please try the tasting platter comprising of all the desserts...as a family you would enjoy the sharing experience. All in all this is a place for having a nice relaxed family or friends dinner!

I don't think the interior decoration with antlers and stuffed deer heads will appeal to younger generations but it evoked a lot of nostalgia in me. This is home-style, cozy, familial and very different from the stylish restaurants where I usually eat.There is a beautiful...garden in the back where we started with appetizers before we moved inside to have the main course. The menu focuses on game but also has a good sushi selection! I tried the spicy crab roll and it was very good. My companion had walnut-crusted venison which he enjoyed. My main course was wiener schnitzel with the standard cranberries and fried potatoes. Good. Excellent, friendly service.

This is an interesting place filled with an over abundance of stuffed animals. The space would have been better served by placing additional tables in the areas occupied by these creatures or just giving customers a little more comfort. The middle of the restaurant is...a disaster waiting to happen. There is hardly any room and the wait staff are constantly running food out of the kitchen over the heads and backs of customers trying to enjoy their dinner. in order give a taste of German food and some other varieties, we took our niece and boyfriend to this restaurant which have not failed us previously.. the younger folks liked the idea of having sushi as appetizers and then good German food.. service fair...and food fabulous as usual. however, since we were seated in the outside garden, we asked for blankets and provided. but when we asked that the heat lamp be moved to where we were, the waiter said that was not possible... we were seated at the only place without a heatlamp. when the sun went down it got coolish. my question is that how did all the other heat lamps got moved?? they were not air lifted there nor were they nailed to the grou...

for many years in hamburg and already ate here, we invited friends to dinner in november 2021 on a trip to hamburg. it was a catastrophe! we booked a table for 8 o'clock on 30 november and when we came to the main room, only two more tables were occupied. we sat in the middle with a good social disparity. shortly after we had ordered the other two tables left, we left alone in the main restaurant. our two friends ordered steak and when it came, it was not possible. when the waiter came to delete our tellers, he noticed this and asked if everything was in order. I went during winter (December...2016,) so there was no outside kitchen, but inside is very comfortable (or even more precise, cozy). I took a large family of 5 adults and 4 children, and everyone enjoyed it. it seemed friendly though, I didn't notice many other children there, so I think it's mainly at adult. if they are a vegetarian or vegan, forget it. that is hearty North German eating where sausage, pork, brain and goose the menu rule.
