Mahrs Bräu - Piatti

This place was packed when a group of nine arrived. They found us a table and had beers in front of us in 15 minutes. We all ordered meals shortly after and service top notch. Tasty food too. Highly recommend.

We walked 20min from our hotel next to the hauptbahnhof to get here. We only had a beer or two but typical decor on the inside. Has a nice beer garden I can imagine would be nice in the summer. Really nice unfiltered beer, a u. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

This restaurant offers tasty german cuisine with nice cold beer. The service was quite fast. We were sitting outside on very comfortable benches. It was a bit crowdy and noisy but we didn't have to wait too long. The "haxe" was a bit overcooked. "Wurst" as well as vegetarian meals were delicious. We would visit again. Visualizza piatti

This lively brewery pub is across the river from the Altstadt. Even on a Tuesday night it was hard to find a table - it was full of locals. They've been brewing beer since the 17th century and the inside of the pub was decorated accordingly - wooden wall panels and furniture, antique fittings and fixtures. The beer was excellent, the food was good and the wait staff were really friendly. Go with an appetite - the portions are generous!

A short walk from our hotel was this old Bavarian beer tavern. This 450 year old restaurant had exposed beams and authentic antique decor. The food was excellent and well priced! I had a schnitzel in pepper sauce that I wish I had had bread to get every last drop. The service was great and I even sat next to a very nice older German gentleman who kept trying to talk, but as I didn't speak German and he didn't speak English it was difficult; however it was an incredible experience!

Went with a some friends and had a great time. You can tell it is going to be a great experience went you notice people just standing outside drinking the beer. You can either sit down for a meal or just order beers to drink. We opted to sit and enjoy some food and with reservations, we were quickly seated. I went with the port shoulder and my friends ordered others from the menu. The food was decent and well priced. I do not think it is their selling point though... did i mention beer? We did not enjoy the restaurant. But the bier was one the great biers of Bamberg. We sat in a shaded garten on a sunny day. To order a refill I stepped to the tap room and said "A U" (ah ou) That got me one of their unique onsite brewed brews. They also had fresh pretzels. Check out the "schlem." That is where all the regulars stand in order of time they have drinking there. Some of them for many years.The only way to move up in the order is for someone to die. No kidding. During a recent stay in Nurnberg, being beer lovers we spent a day in Bamburg visiting the breweries and sampling their products. Visited here and asked what beer they served, to get the sarcastic response from the waiter in Lederhosen (for the brits - looked a spitting image of Mateo in the TV program Benidorm) we only sell beer we are a brewery, as a brewery they do several different styles, as displayed on a board by the serving hatch (which we could not see from the table we were at). Needless to say we only had the one glass which was excellent but would have liked to have tried several of their other beers. Pity really as all the other breweries we visited couldn't have been more helpf...

A group of us went here for our weekly Thursday Stammtisch, tho on Wednesday due to the next day being a holiday. There were 5 of us, and at first, upon arrival and half way thru our meals, we could carry on a normal conversation, but then about 7pm we started seeing the tables filling up and the noise level got so loud that some people played cards instead of talking and we were all trying to yell into each other's ears to talk. I ordered the Wild Peg Ragout, yummy! lots of tasty not sweet sauce with some wild pig pieces in it, also tasty nicely cooked, but not very many pieces and no veggies in there which would have added a lot to it.
