"we were at a day in the brewhouse and I can't understand the reviews here. you wait at the entrance almost ten minutes until someone lets you enter. corona to leave the guests standing in the cold and during this stands personal smoking in the corner. the dining room typical Franconian brewery gasthof. a little loud, but Franconian cosy furnishings. the operation shall be charged. the housebread is excellent and the only reason why there are two stars. eating was absolutely unworthy of this locality. a potato soup that resembles a to liquid potato soup rather than a Franconian soup. tastefully there is still much air up. then a pork carving “as always type” with potato salad, the addition salad must be ordered and paid extra. this court is the classic. but now for a carving, here I expect a freshly prepared carving, which is fried in butterschmalz at such a local place and not too dark fried tk. the potato salad is homemade, but what sugar has lost in it? no salt, no pfeffer. this makes a cook apprentice much better in the 2nd year in the vocational school. so overall, that was nix set six!"

"for the second time and thus quite consciously selected. always a nice reception and delicious food. This time in the criminal garden, unfortunately hardly any guests, as a magic-proof stand was right, so the nice and friendly service and the chefs could concentrate completely on us. there is a greeting from the kitchen, the suppe has great chess variations ready, the main dish (two fish with surprise) is a real joy of the sea. great presented, fresh, tasty and not expensive for this quality. I think (as unfortunately not in the center - lower königsstraße) an absolute secret tip. please try it. young and motivated team. the chef has learned from the alexander herrmann and a lot more. Finally, the award-winning chef (Bavarian Prize) comes and is totally sympathetic, almost a bit shy and farewell. we're coming back."

"the food has earned 5 stars in every case! incredibly tasty and beautifully dressed! ambiente very cozy, with love for detail also according to our taste. Unfortunately, the guests at the side table had a small child with constant quenching and a quiet entertainment was hardly possible, but this can be anything locally and that is what happens. after 2 services were 5 times past us, without greeting us good evening would have been enough, we had nothing to drink and also no menu we then decided to speak the service power at the 6th time otherwise we probably still sow there . the restaurant had on the evening 4! tables. other guests who came after us were declared the concept that feed, drink, etc. service was therefore disappointing for us. 3 stars and those who please pass the 10 euro drink money to the kitchen!"

"We were two and had reserved. First we were assigned tables next to the entrance, there was nothing left and we could choose. Unfortunately there was a loudspeaker box that was quite loud, so after consultation we continued to get in touch with what was not a problem. There the noise level was much more pleasant. The restaurant is very dark, it's a bit dark to me. We chose the Pulled Pork Burger, who was really good. The pommes or sweet potatoes were also very good. The homemade lemonades and ice teas are really recommended. Our service was very nice and also fixed. We had a nice evening in this place."

"after four years we visit bamberg again and it draws us to the japaner. we are happy that the restaurant still exists. we order different appetizers and a great variation sushi. the difference to the last visit: our children also love the Japanese kitchen. it is all fresh and very tasty prepared, the tuna melts on the bottom - very tasty. the service is very nice and accommodating. only the device and equipment could carry a small refreshment."

"Leckere authentische Griechische Küche. Die Chefin wie auch der Chef total Nett, immer für einen spaß zu haben, und immer ein Lächeln im Gesicht. Wir kommen immer wieder, super gerne dort hin und werden auch immer super herzlich empfangen. Das Essen ist super Lecker. Toller Service. Alles Frisch gemacht. Meiner Meinung nach das beste Souvlaki. Die Speisen sind immer super schön Angerichtet. Ein super tolles Ambiente. Im Sommer einen super Ausblick auf dem Dom. Und wenn ihr schonmals dort seit ist meine persönliche Empfehlungen mach dem Souvlaki das Schokosouffle mit VanilleEis :"

"Perfect service, fast order, quickly served, great vegan offer, different vegetable milk to coffee, all fresh and very tasty. The young service was very courteous, nice and lovable. Very attentive, constantly asking if everything is okay and a champagne on the house for birthday. That's exactly how I imagine a nice breakfast that then, because of the feel-good factor and the great service lasted until 13.00. Very happy next time again"

"we were eating at the sirtaki last week. unfortunately we could not sit in the garden due to the weather. Nevertheless, the service and eating as usual was very good. the tellers with different orientations (suflaki, gyros, leber)., were very lush and we had to put in a lot. as an appetizer recommend the filling paprika (florinies) or the pear soup. above all the price is to be highlighted in comparison with other Greeks here positiw."

"I lived in Bamberg and anyone said I had to go to Francesco, so I had a date there... well... I though it was an high quality, well dressed Italian restaurant. As I went there I was overdressed and the service under-dressed, with sneakers (I don 't expect sneakers in an elegant restaurant! , the waitress unkind and the waiter McDonald style. Food was in the average, noting exceptionally that I had expected from a restaurant so well known. Dishes where dirty and the famous panoramic view over Bamberg ... well in Bamberg there are much better places to watch the panorama. I don 't suggest Da Francesco and I definitely won 't go there again. Maybe I had too high expectation, but also without I would have been disappointed."

"we had high expectations, which unfortunately were not fulfilled. The main point is the meat, for which we went extra to the steakhouse. the steaks had no crusty chest (word: Maillard reaction) and therefore no roasting staromas we would have expected at the advertised lavagrill. the portions (especially when surfing my man) were not appropriate for the quite high price. Moreover, we are not used to paying for the actually obligatory crimped butter already extra. Unfortunately, my spaghetti in the crusty was also a disappointment. the Tartar "Lot" was ridiculously small, the sauce was quite taste-neutral. not only to mockery: the service was very good and especially exceptionally friendly, although the waiting time for eating was a bit long. that we wanted to celebrate our wedding day and the birthday of my sohne, the price-performance ratio was really not appropriate. Pity!"

Unfortunately you have not many possibilities to look for a beautiful place, as many tables were reserved.The breakfast is good, plentiful and tasty. unfortunately, the tellers do not always correspond to what is on the map. so too little rolls are brought, extra rolls are calculated for this.Atmosphere is very loud in the interior. in the inlet area is partly tightly pressed. for us mediocre, but still worth a visit. we recommend booking with several people."

"Wir haben zweimal bisher einen Ausflug in Bamberg gemacht. Das erste Mal waren wir zufällig bei diesem Restaurant und das zweite Mal haben wir extra das Restaurant nochmal besucht! Pizza ist echt lecker und frisch! Es ist auch relativ schnell reserviert! Die Kellnerin ist schnell und sehr nett. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr nett und angenehm und immer richtig gut besucht! Am besten ist es, wenn man ab vorab anruft und Plätze reserviert. Ansonsten bekommt man Platz mit Barhocker bzw. Hochstuhl, was auf gar keinen Fall für uns problemlos war! Wir empfehlen dieses Restaurant sehr gerne!"

"it should be a nice evening with good steak food....Rib-Eye ordered, rumpsteak comes....Short demand at the first passing waiter, he gets reinforcement... waitress who took the order comes: "What's going on?"problem explains, teller taken along. and after a few minutes returned: "the cook says this is Rib-Eye!" After plenty of professional lashes of the gourmet steakkenner (my better half) - teller back in the kitchen....The spectacle in zig kten was not yet to end. waitress comes, explains that the cook meant it was a pass piece... he now gets a very nice piece. two more minutes later the waitress stands with approx. 5 kg of meat (beautifully sealed in foil) before us and declares that such a rib eye looks. AHA....After 30 minutes the ordered rib-eye actually came. in this time I had eaten my filetsteak of course....The shade is finally sitting in front of the rib-eye, the waiter comes over again and says: "oh, madame is already done...."Antwort on it (only in thought): it always eats so fast....There is a point for the drinking in the eyes we have laughed about this whole thing. that was honestly so bad and absurd that it was funny again. the next time, we prefer to spend the 100€ for Comedy cards. ps: the quality of the steaks was really good after the right one was served. the supplements unfortunately somewhat taste-neutral....We are from the other restaurants of the gastro group to happy a completely different quality, especially also used for service. so soon little italy."

Ich vermisse lediglich einige richtig scharfe Gerichte auf der Karte und ich würde mich freuen, wenn es ab und zu auch mal ein überraschendes Tagesgericht gäbe.Kleiner Tipp beim Bestellen: Möglichst viele verschiedene Gerichte bestellen, da nicht auf dem Teller serviert wird und man so prima alles probieren kann."

Hint: some rough jokes are part of the local serving style to...encourage you to enjoy food and drinks star for the beer diversity (Keller beer would be my recommendation for starters. try one Rauch beer before ordering more, might not be everybodies favorite). Star because that place is always crowded and it's usual to be seatet at the same table with locals or tourists in this cosy tavern. "The Wilde Rose is a bit off the beaten track and a walk (uphill) from the town centre. But if you are after a typical Bavarian beer garden you will not be disappointed. It is a mixture between a picnic area in a park and...an outdoor beer garden (obviously This because they are quite happy for you to bring your own food as they know you will drink their beer! You walk past a brewery on your way there. Let's start with the beer. You buy from a window through which you gain a little glimpse of the tradition of the place. Staffed by people who should long be retired you receive frothing steins of a small selection of really good beers with a wink and in some cases a toothless grin. Not much English spoken but the international language of beer helps!! They charge a deposit on the steins as experience has obviously taught them that they disappear at the end of a long night!! At one end of the spectrum they do a lovely Pilsner and at the other a huge smoky beer think of taking a sip from a burnt out bonfire. Like that. The food is full on German meat fest. Forget the presentation, it's the food you are after. Huge hunks of Pork leg with sauerkraut, cold cuts etc etc. Not for the fussy or picky eater here. It is huge fun and you have to get involved. After a few of those steins you will anyway!!"
