"I went to this restaurant like I go to a museum with the interest of discovering a foreign world. It's the world of my childhood which I'm glad burned. The large room is paneled with dark wood, there are geraniums on the terrace, and Aromat and liquid seasoning (not Maggi) are on the table as always. The vegetable rösti was good, although the portion was far too small. Whether frozen vegetables really have to be used in such museum style restaurants probably so. It doesn't matter, the hash browns and vegetables were tasty. The open beer was fresh and also tasted very good. A real ray of hope in this post war wasteland was the waiter, who although he spoke perfect Basel German and had a typically Swiss friendliness was recognizable as a secondo. The price was lower midrange and okay for once. The toilets worked."

"Ordered Pizza Margaritha with olives. A normal Margaritha arrived: We wanted to sit down and eat, but we were refused! And it gets even better, the pizza looked and tasted suspiciously like frozen pizza! And at that price. What a shame. we would not recommend."

"Das Essen ist sehr gut, kein Zweifel, aber...Ambiente ist veraltet und kalt.Untypisch wird kein Pizzateigbrot weder zu den Oliven, noch zu einem andern Zeitpunkt serviert.Zu keinem Zeitpunkt wird zur Pizza und zu den Penne Pfeffermühle und/oder scharfes Öl serviert oder angeboten.Kellner sind nicht wirklich aufmerksam.Das schlimmste ist aber, dass die Kleider nach dem Besuch regelrecht nach Essen stinken.Eigentlich schade, denn das Essen ist wie schon erwähnt sehr gut. Aber alle anderen Punkte lassen das Restaurant in die untere Mittelmässigkeit fallen..."

"Ich bin regelmässiger Kunde im LeBua und bin jedes Mal begeistert. Es ist ein Familienbetrieb und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Oftmals lassen Sie uns sogar noch bestellen, obwohl die Küche eig schon zu ist. Mein geliebtes Red Curry schmeckt ausgezeichnet und der Thai Ice Tea ist nirgends besser. Als Vorspeise kann ich die Gyozas empfehlen. Preis/Leistung ist ausgezeichnet und man verlässt das LeBua satt und zufrieden."

"Die Lage ist sehr schön und zentral, das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis war leider nicht gut, der Service war i.O. (Geschäftsführer bediente alle Gäste)Mein Freund und ich bestellten auf Vorschlag des Geschäftsführers eine Gurkensuppe, die sehr gut geschmeckt hatte und für die wir wieder kommen würden, doch das war auch das einzig Lobenswerte am Abendessen. Als Hauptgang bestellte mein Freund Steak und ich den Falafelteller, beides schmeckte nicht speziell, sah aber schön aus. Das Fleisch war alt und der Salat und die Falafel+Humus beim Falafelteller war noch älter und nicht von guter Qualität.Fazit: für die Suppe würde ich wieder kommen, für den Rest nicht. Der Schein trügte!"

"Spontan sind wir eingekehrt, um ein Kebab und Falafel einzunehmen.Bedienung war gestresst, wollte teureres Menü verkaufen (so nach dem Motto mit Reis oder Pommes....nein Döner Kebab im Brot wie bestellt), extra scharf viermal gesagt und somit mindestens einmal zu wenig für diese Bedienung.Kebab war schlecht, kalt, vor allem Mais, Kalbfleisch spärlich.....aber mit 12. genug teuer und nicht scharf!Das Falafel war schlecht gewürzt und ebenfalls kalt, definitiv keine Empfehlung.Tipp: anderen Kebab Stand nehmen, denn dieser hat nur den Vorteil zentraler Lage"

"I was fairly a regular customer for the take away lunch menu. At least thrice a week. My office is right across this restaurant. For the past days I observed that the quantity is reducing. It happened today as well. So took back the box to ask about the reduction in quantity. To which, the owner took the take away box inside and hurled abuses at me in Hindi! He came back and handed over my take away box to me. I just kept the box back on his desk and I left. Never Again!!"

"Were there for the second time on Saturday. The first time as a couple everything was perfect. The last time with four adults and 2 children we weren't very enthusiastic: the drinks came first and my wife's glass had your big lip print... Aren't the glasses washed?? Then we waited forever for food, the children were tired and restless at the end, so I ordered dessert early. Unfortunately, we waited a very long time for this too. By the time the ice cream finally arrived, it had already melted and was more like cream instead of ice cream. It's a shame... it was probably ready for a long time, but the waitresses didn't get around to serving it?? even though they were running back and forth. But the biggest disappointment was that such a large restaurant with so many tables only had TWO children's chairs!?! We were told off three times that we would get one when “the guests downstairs” were ready… after almost 3 hours the stole still wasn’t there! Luckily, a family across the street had finished eating and put their child on their lap so we could use the chair and eat normally. 2 children's chairs for the huge guest capacity is a no go! please get 5 of the stackable IKEA children's chairs..."

"Wir haben haben in der Engadinerstube während der Basel World zu Mittag gegessen. Man kann ja verstehen, dass während der Messe viel los ist, so auch in der Engadinerstube, aber so einen erbärmlichen Service haben wir noch nicht erlebt: 15 min gewartet bis wir endlich bestellen konnten, Kellner bringt 2 Gabeln aber nur 1 Messer, Tisch wurde nicht sauber gemacht, Kellner bringt unsere Getränke, nimmt eins wieder zurück (ohne nachzufragen) und kurz darauf wieder mit dem gleichen wiederzukommen (ach, war doch richtig). Anschliessend eine gefühlte Ewigkeit auf das Essen gewartet. Wir hatten zweimal Rösti bestellt welches auch ganz gut schneckte. Anschliessend haben wir um die Rechung gebeten, währenddem signalisiert der Kellner Gästen die bei der Tür auf ihren Tisch warteten, sie könnten kommen. Während wir dann unsere Rechnung bezahlten, haben sich die dann einfach zu uns gesetzt und der Kellner schon Däumchen drehte. Völlig unnötiger Stress!! Haben dann noch mitbekommen wie der Kellner der Gruppe neben uns die schon lang fertig gegessen hatten, gesagt hat: Sie müssen jetzt gehen!! Wir haben unseren Ohren nicht getraut. Man kann verstehen wenn viel los ist und man gestresst ist, eine gewisse Freundlichkeit und Anstand darf dennoch erwartet werden! Engadinerstube ihr habt treue Kunden verloren! NIE WIEDER! Wird schweizer Qualität nicht im geringsten gerecht..."

"The most overpriced and ungenerous restaurant ever they just added all the random dishes from like 5 different countries (Thai, Indian, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese….. with the worst quality possible. I had a Tom Kha Gai and ordered a large one which is supposed to always be eaten with rice, but we had to add on rice separately. Super dry rice and overly salty soup. Spring rolls are vegetarian but they just added a bunch of noodles into it. Super odd and tasted like nothing. We ordered a Pho bowl and it was probably the only thing okay to eat. And the sakura drink was nothing different of just bare water. Not forget to mention, the staff was so rude. Disappointing!"

"Ich bin enttäuscht. Hörte vieles...woow die Burger etc... Wollten ein tollen abend machen... Chicken Wings wurden nicht geliefert, jedoch bezahlt. Chickenburger war leider roh! Also nicht essbar! Von 19h30 bis 21h30 veruscht das Restaurant telefonisch zu erreichen, ohne Erfolg. Die Pommes...wie soll ich die Pommes beschreiben, für einen Burger mit Pommes welches 29.90 bezahlt wird, erwarte ich selbstgemachte Pommes, und kein Tiefkühlprodukt, und zu lange fritiert waren. Es war das erste und das letzte mal. Und ja ich habe hier gelesen ihr liefert nicht, daher ist es nicht eure Schuld für das fehlende essen...Ich bestelle bei Euch das essen kommt von Euch, ihr seid verantwortlich das die Lieferanten alles Liefern. Packt es so ein, das einfaxch ist nichts zu vergessen."

"Zentral gelegen am Wettsteinplatz mit Bus und Tram einfach zu erreichen ist das Resslirytti mein Italiener in Basel, wenn ich Lust auf Pizza oder Pasta habe. Gemütliches Ambiente, super netter Service und richtig gute Gerichte in konstant sehr guter Qualität lassen mich immer wieder kommen. Dieses Mal hatten wir Pizza Siciliana wie immer aus dem Steinofen. Die Preise sind sehr adäquat und die Auswahl an Pizza und Pasta ist groß. Ich habe den Service bisher noch nie als unfreundlich oder arrogant erlebt, eher das Gegenteil. Ich komme immer wieder gerne zum Resslirytti und freue mich schon auf das nächste Mal. Danke an das Resslirytti Team für schöne Abende bei Euch."

"We were given a table right next to the window so we had a lovely view of the river. We were happy to find an Indian restaurant as it is our favourite cuisine. It had many vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. We chose the samosas to start and they came with three small pots of dipping sauce. It was a good job because without the sauce they would have been dry and bland. We needed more sauce. I chose the butter panir masala because that is usually my favourite sauce but the panir did not taste right and I wasn't sure whether it might be off so I didn't finish it, which was a shame because the sauce was very good. The waiter said he spoke English but didn't seem to understand us, so we had to point a lot."

"The food wasn’t all that bad, pizza a little dry. Our biggest disappointment was the service. We got some very delicious complimentary bread and olive oil when we first arrived. After a long day of checking out the city we were very hungry and while waiting for our food we asked for some more bread. The server seemed so offended and did not bring any more bread. We finished our meal, ordered some more food, and she still had not brought the bread. I understand maybe it’s culturally unacceptable for the restaurant to serve more bread, but it really isn’t that big of an ask and if it helps us enjoy our meal more, why be so rude about it? Eventually she brought the bread when our meal was completely over and we were all full, after we had asked a second time. And when she did, the bread was very cold, unlike the first basket she brought out. Overall, I think the servers poor attitude completely ruined our meal. We didn’t feel very welcome in the restaurant, and though the food was good, the experience was terrible because of the server."

"Total disappointment, I ordered a Thai red curry soup, it was very small and very expensive, and I asked for a portion of rice, they charged me for it but they didn't give it to me, apart from that they charged me 10CH more for administration costs and they don't even tell you when you place your order, they give discount, when I wanted to pay I saw a price and when I got the bill it turned out they had overcharged me, I will never go back in Order from this restaurant, what a scam."

"Cash only transactions, no plastic payment (not the first time they were not able to take plastic payment options when visiting this place). The Wi-Fi upstairs did not work though I was one table over from the router. The whopper sandwich was barely warm. The place just does not seem to be a professionally run establish-ment. Get this store in order or you should be shut down!"

"This place was great for us, we are American citizens and do not feel that you have to pay exorbitant prices for a pizza and beer. Our hotel sent us through the city to another restaurant and it was closed... Luckily, when we came back, we saw... this beautiful little place ordered a wonderful Hawaiian pizza and had a great cold beer... our waitress was very nice and our night was complete!"
