"We had one incorrect delivery and the rest of the order was received the following day, resulting in only half of the family being able to eat the night we ordered. We decided to give it another try, but only half of the order was delivered again. We were told that the rest of the order would be sent, but it never arrived. After making a complaint, we were given a credit note, but when we tried to place a direct order over the phone, it never arrived. The staff was rude and unhelpful. Phone calls were directed to Southend, where they seemed unaware of what was happening in Basildon and were also rude and unhelpful."

"Waited 20 mins in the drive thru with only 3 cars in front. Although the server did apologise for the wait, the staff were making no effort to get everybody served in a timely fashion. They were idle and indifferent to the customers waiting. They didn't look understaffed, they just looked like the staff couldn't be bothered. And I usually love Burger King, I prefer the food to other competitors, but the food from here wasn't worth the wait like I'd hoped it'd be. It was really disappointing to be honest. I'll think twice before heading back there again. It's a shame, because it looks like it's had money thrown at it my corporate, but it also looks like there's no management there, and no competant staff in there. The litter across the car park was disgusting, and looked like it'd been there for a long time, so nobody is picking up the litter outside either. It really looked like this franchise had been left to go under, and unless corporate throw somebody in there to turn it around, that's probably what will happen unfortunately. Shame, because it used to be so much better than that, just needs a good kick up the backside to restore it to its previous standards."

"Eating pizza from Domino's Pitsea is always a delicious experience. We have been ordering from there for a few years now. The staff there, both in the store and for delivery, are friendly and we have never had any issues whether we are picking up or having it delivered. The blonde, hairy delivery guy knows what good customer service is. Susan is always great and the pizzas are delicious, especially with their garlic and chilli sauce. They always have tempting deals available for individuals or larger groups. Overall, we highly recommend Domino's Pitsea."

"We had lunch one weekday in early October. Summerhills garden centre has a very nice Christmas display, so the on site restaurant was busy. The food is very average All day breakfast is OK, it's cheap sausages, bacon etc combined to produce a just about...acceptable meal. On site there is a Gibsons Meat shop, selling what muct be amongst the best meat in Essex it's just a shame the restaurant doesn't buy from them . The chicken/bacon mayo sandwich was the same, low quality chicken with small amounts of chicken/bacon and vast amount of cheap mayo. Most of the staff wore masks, but with no social distancing between themselves taking place. serious was the fact that the one man (who by his actions appeared to be the manager), didn't wear a mask, and was serving customers/handling food exactly as he would have done in the past. Now, he may have a clinical reason not to wear a mask, or he may have decided he isn't covered by the legislation I simply don't know. Either way around we are not going to go back to the restaurant when this is their apprach to Covid"

"I visited for lunch yesterday with my daughter was disappointed with the lack of customer service. Considering they had 3 staff serving the small dining area, two customers had to leave their tables head to the cash desk to get the attention from one of the 3 waitresses. The staff were far too busy chatting didn't realise that two customers had been trying to get the attention of the waitress for 10 minutes. The cream tea was very nice so was the coronation sandwich. However, Being spoilt for choice with food establishments in the high street I will certainly not be returning to Clairy Fairy Cup Cake again."

"Visited for the first time today. There was only one lady to serve the whole restaurant. It wasn’t busy at first but the poor lady was soon rushed off her feet trying to take orders, serve get the bill and clean tables while also making...milkshakes and trying to take new orders from new people coming in. We were left minutes before I had to go up like other people did to get the bill this was in no way the ladies fault, she was trying her best) we would have stayed for dessert but honestly felt like we couldn’t do this to her she was more than rushed off her feet. So we left. You need more staff a minimum of two people even if there’s not many customers because this really wasn’t fair on her. If there had been more staff the experience would have been excellent really tasty food but lack of staff let it down and I wish we had spent our money else where. We won’t be back"

"This is a spacious pub located right next to the market. It tends to get quite busy in the evenings, especially on Fridays. The pub is conveniently close to the bus station and directly across from Basildon railway station, making it easy to avoid drinking and driving. The lighting inside is either dim or dark, depending on your perspective. They only have Pride Bombardier on tap. The outdoor seating area is near the road, but it isn't a heavily trafficked street for the most part. Children are not allowed inside the bar, but I'm unsure if they can sit outside, so it's best to check beforehand if you're considering bringing kids. There’s a raised seating area on the right and a smaller one on the left. The pub is accessible for wheelchair users. They offer several meal deals, including 'Grill a Drink' for £5.99 and 'Sunday Roast' for £4.99, and there's one featuring steak, although I didn’t note the details. Spirits are served in 25ml shots, but you can opt for a double."

"We arrived at 2:30 PM and placed our order within ten minutes. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy at the time. By 3 PM, I inquired about the long wait for our food, but the waitress couldn't explain the delay. I had already prepaid to ensure we wouldn't be late for a movie starting at 3:20. By that time, my two children and I were becoming frustrated. Once again, the waitress was unsure why our food was taking so long. At 3:25, I requested a refund, opting to grab a snack at the cinema instead. The manager approached us and promised that our food was on its way. Just a minute later, it finally arrived. Unfortunately, the tacos were soggy, and the chicken in my salad was dry. We ended up feeling rushed to eat. I would advise avoiding this restaurant unless you're okay with waiting nearly an hour for subpar food."

"I made a reservation for four people on November 6th. When we arrived, there was a notice at the door indicating that there was no heating, and it had been out for a month. Why were we not informed about this when we made the reservation? The first table we were offered was crammed into a corner, which we declined. After that, we were offered another table, which we also refused, so I went to find a table on my own. The entire restaurant was freezing, to the point that we couldn’t take our coats off. The dishes we were served were cold, and when our meals finally arrived, they were on cold plates. The jacket potatoes were hard on the inside. It was a complete disaster. We even noticed other patrons packing their meals into doggy bags to take home because it was too cold to stay and enjoy dessert."

"Upon arrival, we found our table to be dirty and had to clean it ourselves. The person in charge of the wimpy bar was seen shouting at a staff member, causing them to walk out. After waiting about 10 minutes, we placed our order with the usual pleasant waitress. Unfortunately, we waited for 40 minutes and had to reorder when the shouting man came over to take our order. Our order was incorrect, but we didn't feel like waiting another 40 minutes to get it fixed. When we brought up the mistake to the shouting man, he was rude and insisted we pay for the incorrect order. Overall, the elderly Italian man running the restaurant was very unpleasant and we will not be returning due to his behavior."
