"Brilliant experience. Not my first time here but first time for food. The welcome on arrival was warm, covid safe and made us feel very comfortable . Very clean establishment with friendly staff and absolutely wonderful food! We got plenty and deserts and I couldn’t fault any of it. If I had to find a fault I’d have to try very hard and say a wobbly table leg but the gentlemen spotted it wobble at the same time as we did and corrected it simultaneously so there goes my only fault being a fault as it was corrected to fast keep up the good work and we will be seeing you soon! Thank you for a wonderful service and the fabulous food!"

"This is a fantastic little coffee shop! They have a changing table with a mobile above it, a toilet seat topper for toddlers, and a step stool for the sink—all wonderful extra touches for families visiting with kids. For those with dietary restrictions, they also offer a gluten-free cake option. The kid-friendly amenities include a great changing area, a toilet seat designed for children, and highchairs available as well. Overall, a lovely place for dining in!"

"We decided to stop by this pub on a whim while taking a different route home, and ended up booking a table for our birthdays. What a delightful experience! The pub has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff and locals were fantastic. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, everything was splendid. We also appreciated the birthday treats—thank you for that! I can't wait to come back; the pizzas looked amazing, and I’m definitely planning to try one next time! Overall, I’d rate the rooms, service, and location all as 5 stars!"

"Never been disappointed here. The service is always spot on. They even placed the hot dinner plate away from the young child at our table for safety. Food is of an excellent standard. Presented well, piping hot and so so tasty. Another thoughtful serving technique they remember who ordered which dish so it is placed by the appropriate guest. Advisable to dine early as it can become quite noisy when fully booked. A very tasty alternative to the normal Indian style food, lighter. Photo is of the tandoori king prawn starter. ."

"I had an excellent fish supper here. The portion was generous, and the meal was truly satisfying. I dined in for dinner, and the price per person was quite reasonable, ranging from £10 to £20. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 4 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Fish and Chips with Mushy Peas."

"We visited for Sunday lunch about three months ago and had a wonderful experience. We decided to go back based on a friend's enthusiastic recommendation of the fish finger sandwich. Unfortunately, we were all quite disappointed this time, as the sandwich seemed to have shrunk by about 75%! The portion sizes were very poor overall, and while the desserts were enjoyable, they were also quite small. Additionally, our table was sticky and hadn't been properly cleaned. Perhaps we were just unlucky on this occasion, as it seems there has been a decline in standards. Thank you for your quick response; we would be happy to give you another chance since we have always enjoyed our meals before. Maybe there was a different chef working that day? As for vegetarian options, the nut roast was the best we've ever had!"

The wait for our food was short and the dishes were delicious, especially the fish and chips. The children also enjoyed their meals. Our dessert order was taken shortly after we finished our main course and the desserts were brought out promptly. Overall, another great dining experience at the Sugar Mill."
