"We recently had a wonderful event at Bibby Farm Scout Camp and were recommended Katy's Kitchen by the Scouts, who clearly know good food when they see it. The main buffet was excellent and great value, but the real highlight was the children's sandwiches, which included jam, chocolate, and cheese spreads (not all in the same sandwich). Many adults tried to sneak a few onto their plates. The chicken kebabs were good, but the chicken nuggets were the real standout. Absolutely delicious! As someone with celiac disease, I had my own tray of food and felt extremely safe and well taken care of."

"This restaurant review describes the writer's first Christmas lunch of the season, which set a high standard for future meals. The meal consisted of up to 3 courses for a little over £30. The special Christmas menu offered some options that were also available on the regular menu, but the turkey ballotine was the standout choice. "The Place looks amazing. We sat upstairs on table for two near the balcony. There was 2 Light bulbs dangling at eye level on every table they blinding. Needs raising about 16 inches so you can see the person opposite you. Service started off well but half way through there was no one around to serve for more drinks had to go downs stairs twice to get drinks and give up in the end and left. aslo had to pay on the way out as no around to get the bill . It was also about 30% full not really busy. food was pricey good quality but also more like pub food options. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2"

"Came here as I'd heard the food was good and they have a good offer. Yes the main course was a good price, but when you factor in starters, garlic breads, desserts and wine it all evens out and your bill is still what it is. The interior is a little looking but it's the food that counts. My risotto was really good I'd come back just to have this again!! Our desserts were chocolate fudge cake served with very poor quality custard (I couldn't eat it, plus it was so gloopy it was stuck in the jug) and cheap ice cream. The cake was standard costco type cake, so they couldve given us a bigger slice considering it was £6 or so. We asked for the cake to be warm but was one was cold the other very very slightly warmed like it had only had 10 seconds in the microwave. Service is reasonably friendly very casual e.g. waiter in jeans, waitress in leggings and trainers."

"We had a delightful Sunday lunch at this restaurant. Despite there being no roast options for Christmas, we all enjoyed choosing from the set menu. The highlight was the slow roast belly pork, which received high praise. The waiting and kitchen staff were friendly and efficient, and the manager was organized and ensured that everything ran smoothly during this busy time. Overall, it was a very good experience and we will definitely be returning."

"We'd been to the Boars Head once before for a light lunch, which had been fine, but this time we brought the family for a proper Sunday lunch. The restaurant and bar were very busy, but we were given a friendly welcome and service throughout was unflustered, unobtrusive, prompt and excellent. Altogether, we had three different starters, six different adult main courses and five different desserts and every item on every plate was superb well cooked, well presented and delicious. This is definitely our new favourite restaurant and I can't wait to go back."

"Went here to dine with a family member I hadn't seen for 3 years. I initially thought it wouldn't be great because my first choices were booked up, however, Bistecca superseded my expectations by a mile. The service was calm and very warm, especially with the manager (I believe it's a family-run business), who intentionally was a bit slow to take orders so the kitchen wasn't overwhelmed. The food was great, with the t-bone steak done perfectly to what I usually like (medium). The food was very quick coming out of the kitchen and nothing felt too heavy and the flavours weren't overwhelming. Overall, would I recommend this? Absolutely. Try it out!"

"We have dined here before and really enjoyed our meal. However this time it really did disappoint us. The photo shows what was advertised as lamb burger, however the actual meat was more than poor and totally tasteless. To disguise the taste of the burger this was served with heaps of dressing. Such a let down to the kitchen. We did report this but little was offered except a complimentary drink. A lack of customer service also on behalf on the duty manager."

"The food was outstanding, as always, and the staff were delightful! It did feel a bit rushed, but I believe they close earlier during the week. We arrived at 7 PM, and by 8:30 PM, the place was quite empty. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend this restaurant! The pizza-pasta deal on Wednesdays is fantastic as well. I had cheese and tweeper cake, nabeby had lammschaft and sohn had escaped. all were beautiful, we had a few desserts and coffee and a few drinks. the price is really good for the quality of the meal, service atmosphere. "I went to this restaurant on a Monday evening with friends and we were impressed with the impeccable service from the moment we walked in the door. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. The food was brought out promptly and was delicious. They were even willing to give us a break between courses when we asked. The prices were great too. I will definitely be returning soon. "I visited the restaurant during the week, and it was quite quiet, so seating was not an issue indoors, although the space is very small with limited tables. There are just a few outdoor seats available as well. The prices are generally comparable to other places. However, weekends tend to be extremely busy, which creates significant traffic problems and affects local residents. Please be cautious when parking, especially with children nearby! I'm surprised that there hasn’t been a serious accident yet. Overall, I opted for dine-in service."

They did have a problem with the cellar due to the weather, but I can't hold that against them—it’s just one of those things! "Went here On Saturday , just awful food, steak I was served was off, having worked in steak restaurant for 10 years I can tell the difference between rotten and aged. Both children had steak and chips, inedible. Returned my very overcooked off steak to kitchen having had to spit out second mouthful, chef did say it’s aged but would cook one that had come in recently. We had heard great new reviews but sadly not on this evening.The limited evening menu was without the fish as it hadn’t arrived Lovely staff though."

I had the 3 course for £25.95 which was excellent, presentation, taste, size of portion all very good. My partner had 3 courses from the a la carte menu. Excellent food for him too. We will return"
